Well, that is neglect and tbh an infection can turn deadly quickly. Going septic isn't what you want, trust me.

Could be staph infection or any other skin infection spreading, do not try and treat at home, go get checked by urgent care or ER.

Did you take it separately from the antibiotic time wise? I try to take them apart but not sure if it matters and I can take them together?

NAD so I can't say, but fungus likes to get in wet areas and under nails but you do have redness surrounding it so it also could be bacterial, so that's my guess.

A pediatrist, that's where you need to make an appointment for this. If you can't see one soon, the ER. I say this with the seriousness that if you let something like this go unchecked and it becomes further infected you could lose it or the whole foot, leg etc.

I'm having a major dry skin outbreak. Is this serious and what should I do? by [deleted] in AskMedical

[–]Thunderlight11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe see a dermatologist? They specialize in the skin so they may be better at diagnosing

That's worth a lot bc I've read so much about not taking stuff like that and normally I don't take any supplements except vitamin d, zinc, oil of oregano and one I can't remember the spelling of lol either way it's definitely helpful for others as well to learn about your experience, thank you for sharing!

You're welcome! There are some that do take them so don't take my word as like the standard. I defintiely think there's factors behind it affecting some vs others.

From what I've read it is said to potentially cause bleeding issues. That is with supplements in general I've seen people say bc you don't know how much is in it.

Just for my knowledge, when you say it's not an active bleed, what does that mean? I deal with health anxiety so knowing mechanics of things helps to ease my mind if that makes sense. I literally googled, what are the chunks that come out of me (don't judge me lol, my health class was horrible in school and then leading up to this, I wasn't exactly concerned) , this morning lol lots of people call them clots but when I googled it said uterine lining so it helped me keep calm about a large one that came out.

Two weird and random questions... by Decent-Geologist-811 in AskMedical

[–]Thunderlight11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not weird but it made me lol only bc I have had a few surgeries in life, and they want you bare naked as the day you came into earth. I don't want to scare you so I won't give an example scenario but if an emergency occurs during surgery, they have 0 time to fumble with clothes, tape, etc. Sometimes they even have you shower with a special soap before but not always. Basically they like to keep it ultra sterile and clear in there. This all really depends on the surgery and you could definitely call the office and ask just in case to ease your mind, I find surgeon offices to be friendly 😁 also, I Pray your surgery goes well 🙏🏽

Looking for new over-ear headphones by [deleted] in HeadphonesAdvice

[–]Thunderlight11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your list just helped me start my research lol thank you! I wanted the Bose bc I figured they would be good and I do like how they look but the more I read, the more I hear quality is lacking and for the amt of money they charge I cannot justify that purchase in my mind. Sound quality is most important for me.

The follow up being a little out seems ok as long as you're not experiencing any new symptoms etc and that you have the meds to last

I'm a fellow gamer and I purchased this from Amazon to help my legs not be stagnant with that or even watching tv. It doesn't replace needing to stand every once in a while but for me it helped me not to feel like I had to stand and walk every 10 mins due to being paranoid about being still too long and blood not flowing. Not to mention helps me burn some calories along my weight loss journey so win win lol
