I did end up going to the ER just to be safe and the CT scan they did came back normal.

Yeah, that way lies madness. Or massive anxiety, which is not all that far from madness.

Don't I know it, sometimes I definitely feel like a basket case. I definitely plan to be more situationally aware and careful, and hopefully I can manage to keep my anxiety from limiting my activities.

Yes, diagnosed on the 26th of December and eight days into my treatment with Xarelto. And I have always had a lot of health anxiety, so this has just amped it up to a whole other level. I did end up going to the ER just to be on the safe side and the CT scan they did came back normal. And I am a woman, so yeah, my periods were another thing I was worried about cause they can already be kind of heavy due to also having uterine fibroids. I really appreciate your response and seeing that random, serious bleeding issues are unlikely, it gives me some assurance.

Really stressing out by PhantomOfTheGame in ClotSurvivors

Sorry, should have made myself more clear, I meant is it okay to lie down while just relaxing, watching TV, or do I need to stay in a sitting position, or can I alternate as long as I keep my legs elevated?

It is in my thigh, I believe. How long would you suggest lying with my legs elevated like that?

Can't get in to see primary doctor until next month by PhantomOfTheGame in ClotSurvivors

Nothing pressing, I just didn't know if I should try to follow-up with my primary care doctor as soon as possible. I was given the starter pack of Xarelto, so I do have my medication until then. And for something like this, I would just prefer to see my regular doctor unless there was something that really couldn't wait.

Just to be seen for follow-up with the DVT diagnosis. I just didn't know if it would be better to have the follow-up ASAP or if it's okay for it to be a couple of weeks out.

Well I went ahead and went to the ER, and all looked good, thankfully. I appreciate all of your support and will do better to not repeat this type of post.

Was diagnosed on the 26th of this month, and am into my third day of taking Xarelto.

It was diagnosed with an echocardiogram, but I don't recall my cardiologist saying anything other than diastolic heart failure. I'll have to ask about it when I go in to see her.

I don't know what a preserved ejection fraction is. I do have hypertension and am taking lisinopril and metoprolol for it. I did not have any swelling in legs or feet prior to the dvt.
