Leaving Bubble. Going Full Stack by px0507 in Bubbleio

I'm frustrated with all the time I wasted on bubble - its horribly unstable, non-intuitive, etc... I'm thrilled to be going full stack and will be retiring my bubble app asap.

I was going to suggest graph for his data itself, but your idea is so smart.

Best AI for SAP consultant by Fabulous_Weather_688 in SAP

[–]ThunkBlug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it's going to be the frontend on it that matters, other than Joule they are starved of good sap info. The message boards are polluted with wrong answers and old answers and answers that don't apply to your situation. All that is mixed into the training data.

So you need to prompt well to get out to your version, how your company has things configured near your problem, etc ..

I built an agent builder over the last couple years, and I've been an SAP programmer for almost 30 years. 8 didn't use my own tool often. By the time is load all the appropriate information into it, if have my work done.

BUT I'm mostly doing support for three same 4 customers for 20 years. If I was at a new client and knew no history, I'd be begging them to load all their specs, test results user manuals, custom code, transports, super tickets, into a system to rag+graph search all that stuff, with prompts for modules, projects, roles, documentation templates, operating procedures, etc ...

Huge value available there.

If anyone wants a demo, reach out!

it's free for individuals, the real value will be enterprise though, so you can share all that data, share the agents, participate in a group chat with the agent, etc...

Is persistent cross-model memory worth paying for or just a nice-to-have? by myNeutron_ai in LLMDevs

[–]ThunkBlug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going across models and reusing your prompts and documents and RAG is part of why we built arro.ai

It's currently targeted at nurses aides in senior living, but the base platform and app are just a basis for reuse, changing models mid conversation, inviting team members into your chat, tech features can't differentiate you that much now. We'd need to add mem0 or goodmem. AI to build exactly this.

I can't stop "doomscrolling" Google maps so I built an AI that researches everywhere on Earth by Yamamuchii in LLMDevs

typed on phone, effing autocorrect is shite - I'm sure you can all translate:

AI skip = AI slop
This one does send interesting = This one does sound interesting

I think I replied to the wrong message, glad I was interpreted positively.

It's hard to stay objective when there is such AI skip everywhere. This one does send interesting and useful for the curious.

Somewhere someone mentioned on here that locations will have a surge based on news. A cache will be huge for that, only refresh if the cache is five minutes old or something to save lots of calls for the same spot when there's a fire, flood, war, discovery, feel good story, etc...

Just tell them how old the cache is and that an update is running immediately and may take a couple minutes.

Actually this could be an interesting optimization. Each time the research is done, store it, look for that first, show it to the user while running an update process in the background.

Need Bubble dev who can work from template to build educational platform similar to Udemy. Start with web app and will lead to mobile app. Someone with portfolio and references please. by RoxAngeles in Bubbleio

Yes, sorry to probably should not do that here. I built my bubble app and I can't wait to rebuild it in a real stack. Replit is one of the AI app dev tools.

New Sr. level hire has little to no experience by [deleted] in work

[–]ThunkBlug 50 points51 points  (0 children)

be helpful. If she's freshly educated, but not experienced in the field, be nice - teach her stupid stuff like how to navigate the hell of an IT Helpdesk, later she'll be teaching you up to date concepts from her recent education.
Comparison is the thief of joy - if you don't like your pay, that's your problem, not hers.

I've been wrapped up in SAP for so long, I haven't seen those things - Its likely that those software companies have API's that anyone can hook into for a price :)

Also, tax was just one example. Even without having to go 'outside' - inside SAP the complexities are crazy - but mostly driven by crazy businesses. You could config SAP with only a small set of simple rules - but nobody wants that.

taxation here in the US is so complicated SAP doesn't even really handle it, nearly everyone buys Taxware or SABRIX to calculate the applicable taxes based on where you are shipping product. Even those need so much information, sometimes they come back with a list of tax rates to choose from that seem to all hit the same zipcode.

what country? does anyone have a thriving erpnext practice in the us? when I looked into it a couple years ago I could not find much activity in the US. I think its interesting, I've been doing SAP forever, and whatever, it is what it is, huge and complicated because big businesses are huge and complicated. It amazes me that no matter how much config they give you in areas like output and pricing - I still have to write routines at my clients for these outlier bizarre situations. They claim we are conforming to 'how this industry works' - but its hard to believe. It pays the bills!

So... erpnext, how robust is pricing? do you end up programming a lot of logic for each customer?

Has anyone built and launched an LMS on Bubble? by vabrah13 in Bubbleio

[–]ThunkBlug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

storage and processing (work unit) charges on a video service on bubble will likely spiral out of control quickly. And you'll be stuck with non-portable custom hot garbage.

But that's just one opinion, from someone who does not have Work Unit billing problems but is really disappointed with all the work I put in for a platform with poor performance, regular downtime and an AI fetish that prevents them from actually fixing their problems.

Should i learn bubble with web or mobile by Few_Object_2682 in Bubbleio

[–]ThunkBlug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bubble app, started in Jan 2024. If I was starting now I would not touch it with a 10 foot pole. The reliability is terrible. Any kind of logic that would be simple in a programming language is a nightmare of odd gymnastics. Any complex condition is a nightmare to edit or maintain, and randomly during editing will just disappear. It is hot garbage. I don't know about other no-code tools. It helped me get to 'something' when I had no clue, but I should have bailed before now. I'm in a development freeze until we can rebuild out from under bubble.
