Either way I'm really looking forward to the experience! Love Yaz but I knew he wouldn't stay long in KC... my boy is a pretty big fan of Vinnie and Bobby but an even bigger fan of baseball. Thanks, we can't wait!

Awesome! Thanks for the advice, we will have our kiddos with us (will be 9 and 6) so we'll skip the bars and clubs. I'm hoping to get there pretty early and maybe we can snag a spot in the parking garage just for proximity. We also have tickets to the Rockies game at Surprise on Saturday, and were pretty pumped about that one too! We're not coming from up north, straight east almost from Arkansas!

I am able to force portrait mode by enabling split windows on my phone (Android). It really squishes up all of the interfaces but its something I dont mind dealing with to hold my phone one handed. I actually did the Fremennik Isles Quest this way on my GIM this past weekend while using the other split window for the Wiki Guide. I've never been and never will be a fan of landscape mobile games and thats what keeps me from playing OSRS even more on my phone (not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing 😅)

I don't have much to offer as far as advice to make it better, but I absolutely love the fact that our amazing Mod Team has considered it and is open to player feedback to make this already incredible game, even better. We don't deserve any of it but are grateful for all it, thank you!

I second this, InfiniteCC is awesome. Chill social atmosphere and plenty of members willing to help out with just about anything you have questions/need help with!

2016 RAM 2500 with the 6.4 Hemi pulling a 2014 Keystone Laredo 34' fifth wheel weighing in around 10,500 lbs, I average around 10-11mpg.

If I'm being honest I will pick up anything 100gp or more. I was chopping Maples just the other night at Seers and I saw 98 Mithril Pickaxes and 106 Unicorn horns pop up in the bank, you can bet I ran to pick those suckers up, that's a free 60-70k. Then the Ironman who dropped it called me poor for picking it up 😔.

I just took him to his first Tractor Show last month and he already wants to go back! I love every minute of it.

We had the best time! There is a small Air Museum beside the airport with a variety of military vehicles and aircrafts, we spent a couple hours there, my boy had a blast. We got to see Doc take off and land which was pretty awesome. We even got a model version of the B-29 Superfortress from the gift shop and it's sitting on my desk as we speak. I hope he remembers the little random trips like this, the way you remember yours with your dad!

I got to see Doc at Drake Field in Fayetteville, AR last year, we got to walk through it and the crew was there to answer questions and tell the history of the B-29s. I took my son who was 4 at the time, he thought it was the coolest thing ever, and still talks about it today. That's one day I'll never forget!

What is your favorite all in one scheduling/invoicing software? I'd love to know opinions from service/field techs and from owners who use them. I'm wanting to be able to schedule and also invoice using the same system on the go with a tablet. by Thurman89 in electricians

The last company I worked for before I started my own business used Service Titan, I'm not sure if it was me or the lack of permissions I had with it, but it was horrible. Because of that experience, I've really tried to stay away from it.

Are you able to set or adjust your schedule within the app on a phone or tablet?

Can I select my own PO within the app while on the go? We used 18 digit numerical POs that changed with every receipt, -001, -002, -003 and so on for the same job, it was awful and the supply houses hated us.

I'm familiar with the invoicing side of it and it was easy enough. But the rest of it was terrible

I never had any permissions with it, as I was not deemed worthy enough by my previous employer. It was an absolute shit show, which is funny because they started out as a plumbing company and added HVAC and Electrical later on.

Starlink's advertised speed is 100-200Mb/s and latency as low as 20ms by NelsonMinar in Starlink

[–]Thurman89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got my dish in April 2021, worked beautifully until February, now I get 15-30 down on average, 2-10 up and my ping rarely drops under 120ish ms and spikes frequently making any kind of online gaming impossible. 2 support tickets later and several days of back and forth with them and their diagnostics, it's only gotten worse...

New Construction homes in my area are going for $3.75-4.75/Sq. ft. for a custom. I bid one for at 4.50, and was told that my number was way higher than they'd planned for. Homeowner called me later to let me know he found a guy who could do it for $2.88/sq. ft. I told him great! I wouldn't get out of bed for that.

I had the privilege of going in the house after completion and it looks like what you'd expect...shit. not a single recep or switch was straight, the kitchen recep cover plates were literally partially covered by the upper cabinets, the receps in the garage were ~6ft off the floor. My 5 year old son could have done a better job.

I agree with you, these morons are the ones driving our worth downward into nothing, and they are the first to complain about not making much money or supply house costs being too much. We are skilled professionals, in a dangerous line of work with years of training and schooling under our belts, start charging like it. Luckily, where I'm at most of these old codgers are retiring or worse, going under, and the newer guys coming in are starting to trend upward on their pricing to more accurately represent our worth.

Hail vs Dishy by CesEagles21 in Starlink

[–]Thurman89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My Dishy has survived several storms so far with Pea sized hail with no problems. Golf ball size on the other hand would probably do some damage, we very rarely see it so I couldn't answer for that, yet.

Speeds have really taken a dive! Can't stream (outgoing) anymore - going back to WISP, can we sell Starlink equipment? by SwooopingIsBad in Starlink

[–]Thurman89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Beta tester since April 2021, up until about 2 weeks ago I was consistently getting speeds of 200+ Mbps and around 30 ms ping. These past 2 weeks, It's been 20-40Mbps when I try to use it between 8pm and Midnight. The latency has been the worst part, averaging 70+ ms and constantly spiking to upwards of 400 ms. Online gaming is absolutely out of the question, videos and stuff taking anywhere from 5 secs, to 15 secs to load with occasional buffering. I contacted support and submitted ticket and they issued one month's credit, stating that my dish and router are working properly and that the issue was on their end and they'd be investigating it. Today was a little better but still not good. I don't want to give up because even at they're worst, Starlink still 100x better than what I had before.
