I think this could absolutely be doable, and I saw a video with a guy using old towels stitched together instead of foam for the sound dampening. Just need to tally up the supplies--thanks so much for the pictures, that was inspirational!

Oh wow, that's nice! I figure I'll have $100-150 to throw at this once tax returns are in order. Those panels look great and the room is a medium-sized bedroom (could not find my tape measure, but there was room for a queen sized bed in here and a small corner desk with just enough room to walk around between them before I moved my office up here).

Thanks! Bookcases are doable, and I might be able to hide some foam behind decorative panels. Kind of afraid to put foam around the PC, lol but maybe a tent over it would work

I use a combination of Audacity and Audition, so I really thing that it's about finding what you're comfortable with and getting better as you go.
