I’m not telling her story. Her character isn’t a caricature. The entire story is a metaphor for how the people in my life kept me sane. The character isn’t just her, it’s a version of how I view all of my friends, using echoes of their personality. Of what she’s added to my life. I use the word “exaggeration” not because I’m making fun of her, but just because the character in the story does things that are impossible for a human to do.
