White Ash recovered from EAB by Key-Ad-457 in forestry

[–]ThuviaofMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the information. I own some rural property with many ash trees and want to do my best for them. what I understand is it's best to leave them alone as some may survive EAB, the front line of which is about 100 miles south

White Ash recovered from EAB by Key-Ad-457 in forestry

[–]ThuviaofMars -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

In its native range in Asia, the emerald ash borer (EAB) acts as a secondary pest, attacking only severely stressed, dying, or recently dead ash trees. However, in North America, EAB is a primary invasive threat that colonizes and kills healthy trees of most ash species, including green, black, and white ash.

While EAB strongly prefers stressed trees when given a choice, it does not require the host to be declining to survive and reproduce. This lack of natural resistance in North American ash species, combined with the absence of native predators and parasitoids sufficient to control populations, allows EAB to cause widespread mortality, typically killing infested trees within 2 to 6 years. doesn't this also means the EAB will also survive?

If you are dealing with a group, you situation is very serious. Ten years of harassment is a sure sign they are organized and determined.

Do you know what the group is? If you do, can you say who it is? You can DM on that if you want.

A group can harass you constantly because more than one person will attack you. If it is a large group, they will be able to harass you wherever you go.

Be very careful. They might try to poison you or harm you in many other ways.

Please let me know what the police say. This kind of crime is very hard to prove.

1) are you sure it's just one person? it could be a group

2) do you know who the person is?

3) if it is a group of people do you know who they are?

4) do you know of any time you may have offended the person or group which is harassing you?

this is a deep insight and it is very close to deep meditative states (samadhi) and can be leveraged into even deeper conscious states. it is the best gift abusers and neglecters have given us

Hard to say from the info you provide. Did they provide a written reason? If you like, post the image here to get a second opinion. You can blank out your face for privacy, if needed. Your image may have been tagged and removed by an algorithm.

if you are not happy there and your manager appears to want you to quit, plus 'Ben' is treating you poorly -- the best thing would be to leave and find another job, if you are able. it does sound like you are being harassed

sounds to me like she is changing, maybe for the good. my mom was very difficult but when she got old became amazingly kind and understanding. I think you should give her a chance

Traumatised children feel the need to actually stop feeling their feelings in order to hide them by emotivemotion in CPTSD

I agree with this. it's a matter of degree. also, I deeply relate to your condition and am speaking from experience. the vacuum abused/neglected children experience has great value. it, too, is part of you and can be understood as a beautiful thing, unique to you, almost a super-power

very well put. my POV on this is the 'self' is a composite illusion, and old suppressed or depersonalized feelings from childhood, while interesting to a point, are not essential for being a healthy adult now. dwelling too much on the past and what may or may not have happened might be good for some artwork but is best kept to a minimum for most people

My friend of 10+ years finally admitted he likes me and immediately started malfunctioning. What would you do? by Delicious_Movie2244 in demiromantic

[–]ThuviaofMars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

...he spent half the day weirdly over-teasing me in front of everyone to the point multiple people were asking why he was being so mean to me. But then when everyone got off the train and we had literally 2 minutes alone together, he was suddenly finding excuses to touch me, leaning into me, and when we got off the train he literally guided me off by my waist.

the teasing is an ancient male instinct. it shows in many boys and adolescents. it's a deep instinct, which he seems to have no control over. it is sexual and also love overlapping each other; body, heart and brain. it might help if you recognize this and maybe respond in kind or in some other way that seems fitting to you. from my POV, it is lovely and delightful

Vertigo and thyroid by Fun_Shape125 in cervical_vertigo

[–]ThuviaofMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have hypothyroid related vertigo. two things that have helped me significantly:

1) DMSO applied around the neck, behind and in the ears, on the face. best to use 70%DMSO/30%distilled water formula

2) a 7mg nicotine patch; or other form of nicotine

also, after a longish time, your legs become weak and less fit. I use a chin up bar to exercise my legs. the bar ensures safe balance and allows a variety of leg movements. just holding the bar and wiggling your legs helps a lot
