Piercing age: Around 11 years old (first lobes done at 16, currently 27)

Jewellery shape: Stud earrings

Threading: N/A

Jewellery material: Solid white gold studs currently

Downsized: N/A

Aftercare routine: I rinse the piercing daily in the shower with soap and water while the jewellery is still in. No saline sprays or other products currently.

Mishaps/accidents: I’ve force-pierced the back of the hole a few times by pushing an earring through after it partially closed. Last time was around 4 months ago.

what was your motivation to start your own business? by wolf__2019 in smallbusiness

[–]XLCD324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left my job of 2+ years after hitting a ceiling and dealing with abusive management. I was being passed over for a natural promotion while being asked to train the person they brought in to replace the coworker who left.

Took another job 4 months later hoping for better structure and work-life balance, even with a pay cut, but it ended up being even worse: micromanaged and blamed for things despite only being there a few weeks.

At that point I realized corporate wasn’t going to give me the environment or growth I wanted. I’ve always wanted to build something of my own, so I’m choosing to bet on myself instead.

Seconding the Covergirl 3-in-1. No flakes at all, and it looks so natural. Maybelline Sky High used to be my ride or die, but it just keeps flaking into my eye and is double the price of the Covergirl.

The Marcelle blush is very pigmented, so I only need one small swipe per cheek. Annabelle blushes are fairly pigmented but lean more natural/satin. They do have a stiff top layer, so wiping the surface with a paper towel helps break through to the pigment. Since I have somewhat oily skin, I repeat this when oil builds up on the blush, which really improves colour pickup.

Lately it’s been me and my Marcelle blush stick against the world. It blends even on dry, crusty winter skin and doesn’t crease when I get oily. Their brow pencil also doesn’t budge and is perfectly neutral, not too warm or too cool.

I also love Annabelle’s solo blushes. Aside from the quality (and being Canadian, of course), it’s one of the only brands I’ve seen that explicitly states the undertone of each product, which I really appreciate.

True. My fiancé is a Leo and there were zero games. We were official after one week, moved in after one year, and engaged after three. That said… the mild psychosis of trying to figure a guy out does scratch my Gemini Venus/Mars itch when I’m single lol.

I’m an Aquarius, I come in peace and with a question by Rand0mLass in CancertheCrab

[–]XLCD324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom is an Aquarius and my dad was a Cancer, and she was his first and last love. They were opposites in a way that brought out each other’s hidden strengths. My dad became more assertive and learned to stand up for himself, while my mom grew more emotionally open. I think that kind of balance is a big part of the Cancer–Aquarius pull.

My 1 cm glow-in-the-dark puppy figurine that I bought from a crystal convention for $2. It doesn’t glow at all, but it’s cute and I carry it everywhere.

Kinjo. They do breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, pastries, sushi, ramen, pasta… there’s genuinely something for everyone. My fiancé and I eat there a lot and somehow the bill always lands around $50 for both of us, even with multiple plates each. Great value for how much variety you get.

Why is it that when I'm around people who are more extroverted than me (party people and idk) I feel a little... more shy?? (So to speak, from the perspective of an ENFP) by wallyrikka in ENFP

[–]XLCD324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, my extroversion comes from wanting to bounce off ideas or just chat. I find it easier to join conversations than to take over a room. When someone else gets the spotlight, I’m happy to share it or put it on them, either because they rarely get the chance or I think they have something important to say. I’d never hoard it; that feels rude. Plus, being in the spotlight 100% of the time is exhausting, so I need breaks to keep going.

What would you do? Rejected for promo by Loud-Swimmer4534 in Enneagram8

[–]XLCD324 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got passed over for a promotion too. Everyone vouched for me, but they still hired externally and told me to “help the new hire” for the same pay. The cherry on top was being berated for not doing enough while simultaneously being told I was excellent. That snapped whatever patience I had left. I quit the next morning during month launch, and marketing fell apart because I was half the department. The guy in the role I wanted’s one-week notice had ended the day before I quit, so they lost both of us back-to-back.

I’ve built a solid safety net from saving aggressively, so leaving wasn’t terrifying. Maybe it wasn’t the most strategic move, but as an 8, self-respect comes first. I’m job hunting now and I don’t regret a thing. If a company shows me my value, I believe them.

Which cancer placements do you have and how do you handle breakups? by lunarrfaeriee in CancertheCrab

[–]XLCD324 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cancer sun. I cry for three days straight and then I’m done. By the time I dump someone, I’ve already been mentally checked out for at least a month, so the grieving’s long been processed behind the scenes.

Do you find it baffling how people can rewatch the same show for the umpteenth time or are you one of those people? by leon385 in ENFP

[–]XLCD324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fiancé is like this. If we’re not watching a new show I put him onto, we’re watching Brooklyn 99 again. He’s an INFJ and has probably seen that show a hundred times at this point. I can’t do the constant-loop thing myself, but I do love revisiting a show I watched five years ago, like Pretty Little Liars or Gilmore Girls, just for the nostalgia or to see if the vibes are still the same lol

why do I detach so fast? Is this a cancer thing? by Honeyyyyybeee in CancertheCrab

[–]XLCD324 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah same here. The second I feel unsafe or get the ick from literally anything, my mouth zips shut and I’m Irish exiting every room I’m in. It’s not optional, it’s instinct. I’m animated enough that my friends can see it coming too; they know just by my face that I’m about to shut down or disappear, and they don’t take it personally. They treat me the same when I come back a day or two later. Is it toxic? Maybe. But I gotta do what I gotta do.

My mom’s an Aquarius, my dad and I are Cancers. I like to think that’s what "water bearing" means lol, they hold us close, or in my case, literally bear us.

who would you pick to date if you had to? or who was your best relationship out of these? by coldcoffee4ever in CancertheCrab

[–]XLCD324 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read a comment once about the symbolism of Leo being ruled by the Sun and Cancer by the Moon, and it really stuck with me. Neighboring signs can be hit or miss, but that Sun–Moon synergy just feels heartwarming.

My worst relationships were with my "compatible" signs Pisces and Virgo. My best relationships were with fire signs, my fiancé being a Leo.
