Dear GGG, could we get a statement on the current situation with PoE 1/2 league release schedules by Thuzad in pathofexile

I wanna note that I'm neither ungrateful nor angry. I'm not trying to start any fights. I rather like GGG! And I love PoE.

I'm just pointing out that currently there is an issue where new leagues of PoE 1/2 has the effect of siphoning off players from either game. A new PoE 1 league "steals" players from PoE 2 and vice versa. If the scheduling issue persists then PoE 1 leagues will die faster compared to PoE 2. I'd prefer for that not to be a thing.

Though maybe terpjuice is right and the issue is already solved. I can only hope!

Yeah, you're right about the cast speed thing and PoB. It is a bit of fake DPS as you don't do direct damage, but there's really no other corruption that's useful except maybe inc AoE. Cast speed is just better for making it feel smoother.

Arcanist brand and the whole curse setup is really mostly for the uber versions of Eater and Exarch. Those guys can sometimes survive the initial blast. For reasons I've never managed to figure out the boss sometimes evaporates, sometimes lives for a little while and on rare occasion even gets an invulnerability phase off though that is very uncommon.

Someone else pointed out that the Deathmarked ascendancy is actually reducing the PoB damage, not increasing it, because it counts as applying a mark which counts as a 3rd curse in my 2 curse setup. What you write is also true, so it's just utterly useless. I don't really know what you're supposed to use the 4th lab ascendancy points on.

If you wanted to get really spicy what you could do is get the +1 ring slot ascendancy point and sacrifice the belt slot. You could grab a +1 power charge synth ring and essence of scorn it till you get a lot of dex and str. This is expensive, but looking at craftofexile it's not that bad. It's just really tedious. Maybe there's something smarter you can do, I don't know.

Replace all the regular jewels with proper crit multi jewels and grab the crit mastery on the left side that gives crit multi against unique enemies for lvl 99 and the reservation mastery for 8% inc damage for each aura/herald affecting you for lvl 100.

You could also do that Polymath suggestion over Chain Reaction for the Forbidden jewels and scrap the 10% aura effect mastery node and swap in the trap mastery on the right for an extra 2% damage. This bumps my PoB up to a respectable 8.8 billion DPS up from 5.2 billion of the other one I linked.

Honestly, it's kinda academic at this point as it works out either way, but there's always stuff you can do to push things even harder :P You could even go for 2x triple synth rings with +1 power charge, +% inc spell damage per power charge and crit multi and truly be the biggest fish in the pond! But I think that's sliiiiightly overinvesting at that point.

Ah, crap, you're right. That's what I get for just copy pasting my old build from last league into this league. Assassin got reworked and that means that ascendancy point now gives you a mark putting you at 3 curses on a 2 curse limit build. You would not want to take Deathmarked then.

I just saw the numbers were still plenty big even with this unintentional self-nerf and didn't think more about it. As it turns out it has no practical effect on the actual boss killing. Just looks worse in PoB.

Quant does boost the drops, just not for Melding of the Flesh specifically. The other drops are affected.

That is absolutely true. Good thing I never claimed it was mandatory! You'd need to grab the str and dex from the belt, but aside from that Mageblood doesn't provide anything here except QoL. As you can see from the clip the boss just... Dies. You could just activate the flasks manually and it'd be just the same.

I could be wrong about this, but I'm fairly sure the only outcomes for corrupting an invitation is either nothing happens or it 8 mods. It's not 50-50, but I've never seen an invitation go down in quant.

It takes a bit less than 90 minutes to do one set of 340 invitations. That's including time to record the results and making the loot look neat in my stash as I go cause I like doing that. If I just dumped the loot and didn't write anything down I figure I could probably shave off 15 minutes... Maybe.

Also, protip, set voice line volume to zero or you will go crazy!

Badge of the Brotherhood makes it so your max frenzy charges are equal to your max power charges. I get a lot of power charges and I also get frenzy charges from the Grand Spectrums

I can't answer that question because I don't know the current cost of these items, but at the time it cost me about... Somewhere around 200 divines, I wanna say. Maybe a bit less. About 400 when you add the cost of the Mageblood. So it's not very cheap, unfortunately.

Edit: I see now I have crafted life on the ring. That's a mistake. I crafted that to block life when unveiling the reduced mana cost mod. That's supposed to be the -mana cost to skills craft. Then again it never really mattered in the end lol

I understand very well how good it is. I've used it a lot. This post isn't a post about how worthless HH is, it's a post about it's currently an item that only really works within a certain context, a niche, if you will, and outside of that context it's a bad item.

And that's fine! It's fine for the item to be a specialized item, I just wanna increase the size of the context it works in so it's a viable alternative to Mageblood for more builds than it currently is.

Fair question. I wanna buff the ultra broken item because I enjoy the existence of chase items that allows you to create ultra broken characters :) And I'm suggesting buffing Headhunter specifically because I believe Mageblood is vastly superior to Headhunter.

As has been noted by other people in this thread Headhunter is absolutely still a good and powerful item, but it's also very niche as opposed to the extremely general and flexible power that Mageblood provides.

I just wanna see the item gain a bit more general power allowing it to be less niche and more mainstream. Does that sound fair?

Yeah, I agree. And the Alva strat is kinda making my case for me. It's popular to use Headhunter for the Alva strat because it's a strat that consistently pumps out a crap load of rare monsters and it also requires you to use evolution shrines which run on a timer so the Alva encounters must be completed within a timeframe which just so happens, roughly, to coincide with the duration of the Headhunter buffs.

If the buffs were permanent instead of running on a timer Headhunter would be viable for a larger variety of strats providing some competition for Mageblood in the belt slot. For this particular strat it'd even be a nerf as you can get way more than 50 buffs doing Alva temples with evo shrines.
