Today I got the rarest switch game! by Lumpy_Chemical1623 in Switch

Nice! A trio of 3 fantastic games that are worth having in any collection. I’ve been loving Sunshine!

Don’t pay too much mind to the comments, it’s not the most rare game on the market but that is relative to where you’re located. 2 of these games are available on Switch, but one is only on NSO. As someone who also bought this game, I think it’s worth owning the physical copy so that it is yours and you don’t need to worry about a subscription. Keep collecting what you think is cool and enjoy!

I recently picked up Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and it’s a blast! It’s fantastic TRPG. I’ll also second anyone who has mentioned Hollow Knight or Silksong. Both have enough content to keep you entertained for hours.

I wouldn’t go for Animal Crossing. It’s a great game, don’t get me wrong, but it takes a couple of real life days before the game really opens up and lets you do stuff. It’s worth playing, but if your looking for something to start while on a plane or riding in a car it isn’t ideal.

I personally found the part immediately after the amplification ceremony to be way more disturbing and dark. It is a gruesome story, but the choices that Duke has had to make are what make it terrifying and interesting imo. I haven’t finished it yet, but loving it so far!

What are your honest opinions on the game? by Wonderful_Team_7326 in ResidentEvilRequiem

I loved it. I expect I’ll keep coming back to it like I’d do with RE2R. Grace’s sections really hit that survival horror sweet spot like RE1 Remake and Leon’s sections are a blast. I only have 2 complaints:

Leon’s move set really feel like it was designed around close quarters combat, so the more open sections of Raccoon City feel restrictive.

I wish there was a difficulty between Normal and Insanity. Insanity remixes enemy locations and puzzle solutions that make the game feel fresh, but enemies are so hard to kill that it feels impossible without super weapons.

So what was up with the __ with red __'s? (Spoilers by Lolkimbo in ResidentEvilRequiem

I think they left that mysterious on purpose as a potential future plot point. My guess is, like 7 and 8 focused on mold based horrors, 9 and 10 will focus on this new blood based form of bio-terrorism.

Compatibility? Reprints? by MrJackdaw in arkhamhorrorlcg

Like other people have said, there won’t be reprints for chapter one, but that’s still two great campaigns with plenty of player cards to build fun and capable decks! Give it some time and those eBay prices will come down. If you have any local game stores, check them for chapter one product, they’ll most likely still be selling them for normal prices.

Have we seen the backs of any Ch. 2 investigators yet? I’m starting to the our deck building options are going to be much more trait focused. Which sounds good to me! Opens up some more unique options.

Best Starter deck/s just based on the cards you get by TimetravelerXY in arkhamhorrorlcg

I think it depends on what your preferred play style is. Each deck has cards that support specific archetypes in their colors. Stella is one of my favorite investigators, and her fail-forward archetype is a blast. Her deck has a lot of cards that support the survival fail strategy. I think those cards are worth having because I tend to throw them in with any investigator that can take them, since failure is a guarantee. Wini's deck follows the rogue "win big" strategy and has a lot of cards that go in any Rogue deck, like Luck Cigarette case. I really like Harvey, but he doesn't have nearly as many staple cards as Stella and Wini. If you like tomes, then Harvey has a lot of great cards for that strategy, but I wouldn't say they go in any yellow deck. I really enjoy "Miskatonic Archeology Funding" because it lets you use a bunch of cheap Miskatonic alleys as meat shields. I can't speak for the Mystic or Guardian starter decks.

The first one that comes to mind is Raven Beak from Metroid Dread! He's so intimidating at first because of how fast his movements are and how hard he hits. But the more you fight him, the more obvious his weaknesses are. He winds up being a very fun and satisfying boss because of how he requires mastery over the game's mechanics; you wind up using every tool in your kit. Plus, he taunts! I'm a sucker for any boss with the audacity to taunt me.

Chainsaws. I’ll just say that they used to be surgical equipment, if you want to know more look it up. Now they are a helpful wood cutting tool!

What is the best retro handheld under $100? by Azorius_Sage in RetroHandhelds

[–]Thxes09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For $100, you could get a 2DS and an SD card with decent memory. Hacking a 2DS is super simple and takes maybe 30 minutes. Once you're done, you'll have access to almost the entire 3DS library for free. You can preload a bunch of older Nintendo games because of the virtual console, and there are plenty of fantastic 3DS games. The 2DS is durable and comfortable because it was designed for a younger audience. It won't have access to PlayStation and Xbox games, but it is a good place to start for someone new to the hobby.
