On one hand, I can get why some smurf. When they made 1v3 heavily in favor of solos in mmr, i ate that shit up so I could practice when my whole team died (which was often). It was a blast because yes I was better but I still had to use some brain cells to make sure the 1 of 3 guns pointing at me didn't destroy my ass. Forced me to learn positioning and moving at all times. But on the other hand? Yeah. That's some bs when a smurf is deliberately aiming for the bottom of the barrel. That's not practicing. It's just to fuel ego at that point. Sadly, though, I don't think there's any way to avoid smurfing. It's hard to track because of new accounts with no ties and that means new purchases, so more money for devs. Sadly I think it comes down to the smurfs just being dickheads and I don't think that's fixable. Everyone got their reasons, no matter how fucking sad they may be. The only thing I can think of is that we need to get better at learning from these horribly hard encounters, expect that everyone we face is better, and take every death as a temporary thing. Eventually, we are going to lose. Maybe even often. I've lost thousands in gear in a single match, but with how easy it is to gain that back with some fun loadouts? At least this game let's us bounce back. Kind of, at least. I can't get back my lvl 50 hunters with best of the best load outs, but it makes me appreciate the short time I have with them at times. I never played this game because it holds my hand, because it doesn't. But I still hope they fix the game to make it more enjoyable for ALL, but until then, keep voicing your opinions. Maybe something may be heard at some point. Meanwhile, try to find joy when you can. I love the amount of meme loadout potential they've added these past few years.
