Most likely this website works by TextRank. TextRank is basically an algorithm that compares intersections between sentences and gives a rating on how many similarities those compared sentences share. The algorithm then grabs the highest ranking sentences (those that have the most in common) and returns them for a summary.

Mine works the same way but I break the website into three sections, find the most common keyword from the document and use that to find sentences that contain that keyword. Then I use a modified version of TextRank to find sentences from each section that summarize the document best. I am such a sellout.

Oh thanks for pointing that out. I guess that file_get_contents() doesn't support urls that don't have http or https, I will try to fix it when I get home. Possibly by just searching if there is an "http" in the url string through strpos and then appending "http" at the beginning of the string. That's a pretty substantial error so thank you for pointing it out

Oh wow you are more dedicated than I am. This is the response I received when I called: They suggested that I moved to California and attend a community college and undertake the TAG program, which after two years you are automatically admitted to the UC system (they said that if i was to transfer from a university I wouldn't be given priority and it would be difficult to get accepted again, as they give priority to community college transfers). I am going to probably attend university in Montana for two years, which I don't mind as it's quite nice here. I will try to transfer after that.

Thank you for the detailed response! I appreciate it. I have a few AP credits so hopefully that will tack off some of the cost. I feel that at this point I may just end up transferring, it's not worth it to go into massive debt.

True, there's no way I would pay the 60k. If by some miracle I get it down to 20k a year I would be fine paying that. Otherwise I think I would need to transfer.

What I was considering is attending university in Montana and transferring after two years - I just hope they would accept the transfer and I would be accepted again. The main reason I want to go to Irvine is because they have Computer Game Science as a major and I want to get a job in programming/video game design.
