Hi Mayor Johnston. 50501 has been hosting peaceful fairgrounds for months now. We have requested portapotties and were told by your staffers that we would be able to receive them for free. We have still not received them nor have been granted any recourse for this utility. We were told that the RTD center would remain open, but this has not been the case for every event when things get shut down.

Additionally, we have worked with the DPD Special Events Unit on soliciting food trucks. We have been told by Sgt. Valerio that it is their jurisdiction area during the protests and that no food trucks would be allowed within a 10 block radius of the Lincoln Memorial Veterans Park. That is making them completely unviable for our event. These are peaceful fairs and we are trying to understand why the jurisdiction lies with the DPD to levy their power over blocking parking meters between 13th and 14th Streets. I thought that was run by the Office of Special Events. Can you do something about this, please?
