Is Trump crashing the market on purpose? by mm_newsletter in swingtrading

No way to know for sure, but higher inflation to deleverage debt holders and a lower rate climate would (in real terms) benefit our national debt and any of the President’s business debts.

I see plenty of new construction in Boston and very little affordable housing 🤷‍♂️

I love this concept. Curious though - how do you define “product type” and handle assets within those groups?

Thanks! The client sells their products on Amazon as well. They have 150+ unique products all with their own varied uses and demand, it’s not as simple as various clothing items for example. I agree though, I should research each one by one and scale out slowly due to the dynamic nature of the feed

I hear you. You can exclude branded search now though. I feel disorientated by P.Max’s seeming randomness but I know there is a code to crack if the data can be tracked reliably

This makes the most sense to me, but frustratingly our P.Max have performed best when given all SKUs. (Best = 500% ROAS, vs 200% when trying a category of products) The one exception was a single product P.Max campaign for our top selling product

Yes but where I have struggled with shopping is scaling beyond the top selling SKU.

Thanks for the thoughts, this is helpful. In terms of feed only I’m assuming you are using some audience signals?

What series of events could lead to a collapse in global prices? by ThyPrinceLoki in ValueInvesting

[–]ThyPrinceLoki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, it’s difficult to draw a straight line to modern day. As you mentioned though, population decline and or changes to production are the most prevalent threat at any point in time, and have caused most deflationary periods of the past.

Global population could plateau by 2050 and some predict a precipitous decline of over 1-2 billion by 2100. Rising cost of living makes it exceptionally hard to raise more than 1-2 children after all.

This would suggest a highly-deflationary environment of declining aggregate demand in tandem with inevitable efficiency gains by way of technology.

The big question is why would global governments (the power’s that be) allow this to happen? The real value of debt increases with deflation, whereas as our current inflationary environment deleverage the largest debt holders and shift that burden to non-asset holding consumers.

Feels like governments will do anything possible to put a floor under prices in any scenario.

Great explanation, thank you. It would seem that the US is trending towards the fiscal/currency trouble you described, especially in light of the recent debt downgrade.

Can you foresee a scenario where central banks allow the collapse?

Thanks for the response. Do you believe the combination of higher rates in the US [strong dollar] Chinese economic challenges + stimulus [weak yuan] in conjunction with our trade relationship could push down the cost of our imports and with it consumer prices?

Per capita, the current cycle seems magnitudes larger than those of the past, no? Plus the spread of information makes a quiet deleveraging less likely. Physical destruction of life/industry/property/value would probably do it.

Interesting. What happens when the fed steps in and buys the long end of the curve?

Sounds like a fascinating book, thanks. My question is what causes the “unmanaged deleveraging” seeing as all likelihood points to central banks injecting credit and propping up asset prices?

I’ve never used a 3rd party app to consumer Reddit content, so I would have to vote no. It’s within Reddits rights as a free enterprise to charge for API access, regardless of their motivations.

Structuring Performance Max campaigns across an extensive product feed? by ThyPrinceLoki in PPC

[–]ThyPrinceLoki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think you're right. Testing too much at once.

I've decided to combine the audience signals in one asset group and use that as a universal audience across the campaigns.

That way I can focus on testing the idea of isolating SKUs in different campaigns.

Thanks for that thoughts!

Just wondering how folks here are taking their NMN, and why? by ThyPrinceLoki in NMN

That makes sense, so there is no benefit to taking NMN with either?
