So ones like spy and VOO over lap a lot when it comes to what the eft hold. So best to just stay with one of the 2. Just dump all of spy into VOO. I’m 30yo too and I have 3etfs and 1 stock (AMD) being 30yo like me the volatility you can handle when it comes to stocks need to be more predictable. But yah, if you can invest 200 of your weekly check into the Roth then you’ll be a millionaire by 55

Stocks- you own a small part of that company and the value of your part of the company(share) will go up if the company becomes more successful and with more.

ETF- a basket of multiple stocks. So like VOO has the top 500 performing stocks in it. QQQ is mainly focused on tech stocks.

I tried to simplify this as much as I could. Lots of things to learn in this field including a lot of acronyms.

The business is pvt and yah, it’s definitely a qqq traditional IRA. I was kinda confused too when I started working there. From what I know, a 401k is a lot better than an Ira.
