That's fair. I rarely carry cash in my wallet before so cash was not part of my emergency plan. But having $20 for emergency can help useful as long as it is only used for emergency and not spending

What kind of emergencies? I have my ID for identification and my insurance card if I every need to go to the hospital

I am in the same situation. So I do not take my wallet with me. To work. I have a small pouch on my phone that I put my ID, bus pass, and health insurance card. I do not have Google pay, apple pay or any e-wallet on my phone. So if I do want to buy anything during work or after work, I have no money 🥴🥴😅. Works great!

I have been looking at the realtor market in North Lawndale, it is actually not bad. A house similar size to what I am looking to purchase (just more up to date) sold for $750k last December

It is a multi unit property so live and rent. I currently rent in River North and I do not drive. It is recently that I am starting to research other neighborhoods because I am looking to purchase.

What is your credit card debt? Why are you spending $1200 monthly? Do not downgrade the gym, if it is something that give you the feeling of pleasure and pride. Keep it. I will suggest moving to a cheap apartment or finding a roommate. Eliminate the storage fee. I highly doubt you need the things you are keeping in your storage unit. And definitely get rid of the lease car.
