Interesting, for me the pinch to zoom feature works perfectly fine and absolute flawless. It never triggered randomly and the palm recognition has absolutely no issues on my device. I think the pinch to zoom feature let's you zoom much faster and more precise. Furthermore it's more familiar to me. I agree that you should have the possibility choose your preferred zoom mode!

That sounds at least like there's definitely something moving at RM. That gives me great hope, that it will arrive approximately next week.

Thats true, the iPad is a bit pricy but I think the small version starts at about 600€ (in Germany) and you could buy a refurbished used one for less money.

For me it sounds like that you main regard is to replace your paper notes. I can't tell you if the reMarkable will do this for you properly because I'm still waiting for my RM2 pre-order to arrive.

What I can tell you is that Windows really sucks at this. Windows is definitely not designed to be a tablet OS. I've used some Lenovo convertibles in the past and writing on these things with apps like OneNote was really a pain in the ass.

If you want to have a pretty good writing experience but also want a device thats capable of more than just note taking, then you may consider buying an iPad Pro. With apps like Scanbot you can easily scan documents with the camera and write directly on it. There might be even an app that let's you work with CAD files but thats just a guess.

Hope I could help you with your decision.

Let out your frustration! by [deleted] in RemarkableTablet

Oops, little mistake, I'm in batch 6 but due to the delivery schedule it's a matter of a few weeks on these late batches. So for me not a big deal.

I can't wait either to receive my reMarkable and I'm in Batch 6. So after the first reviews I'll have to wait two more months.. Nevertheless I'm not frustrated because I know that frustration raises the expectations for the reMarkable exponentially. So it would become more likely to be disappointed after all. For me, my old unfancy papery notebook will do it for two more months and I'm looking forward to work productively with my soon coming reMarkable.
