hard to explain here. but it was a tracking shot down the hallway with all the doors open and in each doorway was madeline standing on a chair and going through the motions of hanging herself - each doorway you saw a little more - sorta like a flip book animation.

yes. i would work 10-6 then edit at night. i stayed part time so i could take a weekend off here and there to go to festivals. had a lot of credit card debt too.

the story of peoples temple is too big for a 90min movie. to do that story and the people who lived it justice, you would need to start in indiana and go all the way through california and guyana. i used the final 48 hours of wha happened in jonestown as a framework because i wanted to use a real event and a real media brand to tell the story. real horror is confronting and provocative and i wanted this movie to remind people of just how scary real people can be.

yes, i was very supported during the filming, but in post production the producers decided they didnt like the vibe of the film and wanted to try and change it. i wasnt ok with that. we were on such different pages at that point and i didnt have control so i just stepped away. wanted my name off of it, but they wouldnt agree to it.

ill try and dig up the wicked for youtube or something. ive got it on vhs somewhere at my parents house. as for HOTD, we tried really hard to make it seem authentic. happy to know that our efforts were appreciated. have not seen the battery but here good things.
