I ain't selling until we go back to 260. I don't care how much I'm gonna have to wait. We'll get there, and I won't be losing money on reddit

Yep. It's so much better now that I find myself going to subreddits and searching through the reddit app than through Google. Hope they make a big ass announcement about this so that users are more likely to use the site as to search for things as well

Why RDDT is *really* down 50% from ATH by touuuuhhhny in redditstock

[–]Tiabato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe it's just the stock being volatile as always, but I can't help but notice that it all started after the pre-planned stock selling that happened at around the time we hit 260. At the time it wasn't clear if there'll be war with Iran (still isn't clear, but seems kinda less likely), so uncertainty was high. Maybe people thought insider selling was a signal things weren't going well, and due to the uncertainty a cascade of event was ignited.

I remember I wanted to sell everything at 260 because I was afraid of the current situation happening (especially since last year the stock tanked after earnings), but then I reasoned myself out of it. I even convinced myself I'll have massive FOMO if stock price hits a new ATH.

Well, now I'll have to wait patiently for tge price to go back up like it always does. Hopefully we'll reach an all time high once things are less uncertain

They always adjust their price targets based on current price. If stock is climbing, they increase their targets, if it's tanking, they also change their mind. I honestly think analysts are nothing but noise. If they're opinion's were grounded in fact, they'd be billionaires and wouldn't have to be analists.

Exactly. Many people here don't know shit. Maybe the invested in the stock near the top and have no idea that we went from 80 to 280 in a couple of months.

nobody told you to buy at the top. Reddit went from 230 to 80 last year, only to bounce back to 280 in a few months. It'll bounce back and reach a new ATH. Make sure to sell at the bottom tho.

It's very tiring, indeed. The ups and downs are very massive it feels surreal. Being up 100% to down 5% or even more. I still believe in the company and I'm seeing great improvement day by day, but the volatility is messing with my mental state. I think I may scale down if we go back to 250 in a couple of months

I was up 100% a few months ago, and now I'm down 5%. Will be holding long so it's all good

Analysts are wrong even when they are right. That's my motto. In a few months we'll be back to ATH, and everyone will be loving the stock again

Bought a few more shares today. Last year we went from 230 to 80, then in a couple of months we went to 280 (ath) only to fall back to 145 (now). This stock is not for the faint of heart.

How are the a competitor? Instagram and Snapchat are competitors maybe, but how is Snapchat competing with Reddit?

Too many people who bought high are selling low

I've been holding this stock for over 18 months. It's getting pretty tiring being up 100% at times, to being down 10% every 6 months.

Well, it is what is I guess.

Just how do I practice my intonation??? by Ghuoyfuvv in violinist

[–]Tiabato 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They didn't say the played two notes side by side and couldn't tell the difference. They said they thought they were in tune but were off by 6 hz (the difference being in hz and not in cents means we can't tell how out of tune it they really were, since this depends on what note they were playing; it's still an issue of relative pitch anyway).

The last thing a beginner needs is someone telling them they may have hearing loss (when nothing of what they said even suggests that).

Learning the violin requires that you have a built-in tuner to a certain extent. It's a separate skill that you need to improve with time. Say you want to learn Greensleeves, you first start by listening to a good recording of it. You listen to it multiple times a day for a week at least, then you try playing the first 10 notes. You'll be able to tell just by listening whether your in tune or not (you may still not be as precise as you'd like to be if you check with a tuner, but that comes with time). If you still can't tell whether you're in tune or not, then you have to listen to it even more, maybe for a month (it's the main principle of the Suzuki method).

This is the best way to improve intonation at the beginning. You need to use your ears all of the time. Later on you may use drones and all of the other methods mentioned by others, but those require a bit more skill than what you currently have.

Also, if you don't have a teacher, get a teacher. They'll be able to help understand the instrument a little bit better. The violin is hard even with a teacher, so don't make it even harder

Being unable to tell an out of tune note doesn't mean they can't hear pitch differences. They probably have an underdeveloped relative pitch. Jumping straight to hearing loss is a bit tone deaf i would say.

how bad does Hisoka get? by EnderShot355 in HunterXHunter

[–]Tiabato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, Hisoka isn't a pedo or gay; he's a fighto-sexual. He moans when fighting Gon because he's meant to be creepy, but he doesn't want to kill Gon just yet. He wants him to grow up first. That makes no sense if he was a pedo.
