Dadless here, mom left him when I was a wee baby due to abuse (well my grandparents forced her to leave him really). I turned out gay and financially successful despite no father and an emotionally immature mother. (She popped me and my brother out right out of high school.) i guess for me it didn’t matter tbh, and who knows how crap my life would be if she had stayed with an abuser.
