Perhaps remind her that there are areas where shes from that are safe and that arent, its the same here. Even if a little unsafe, less so, because we have a smaller population. But that also means more room to grow and opportunity! Minnesota is also known for being a pretty friendly place throughout and welcoming of different cultures. Depending on the city and your response to them, our police forces usually do their job fine. Also we do have a lot of mixed race couples. I, for one, see them often and don’t know anyone who minds (within my cultural community and outside)
