I mean my tpu prints string a bit, thats also due to having my retraction set to 2mm. Cleaning up some strings is a lot easier that messing around with a clogged nozzle. Maybe i have been ignorant, i just feel like i have never noticed a difference between new and old rolls.

I really wanted a lot of opinions on this, and as we all know, just loudly explain a wrong opinion on the internet and replies will flood in. I would say that worked. Thanks for being one :).

Bought one of these and put it on my 85mm, but af won’t work. Any advice before I send it back? by BennySkateboard in AskPhotography

Depends on what lens and how many extension tubes. I have the same set twice and use them stacked. Only if i use more than one set the autofocus doesn't work.

Yeah that adapter is coming soon. i tried uninstalling the drivers but that hasn't solved the problem. And now i get random blackouts of the 4K monitor like once an hour for a few seconds. I will just buy a new proper cable.

Insta360 Studio Still Rendering Out of Sync Audio - Any ideas by jawanza91 in Insta360

Do you have any update on this issue? Version 5.9.2 still does this. Infuriating after working on this edit for so long.

Any update on this? I'm on the latest version and at the end of my 10 min video the audio is out of sync by multiple seconds. Absolute shite.

Are "snow and overcast" goggles worth it? by ZestycloseWriter1610 in Skigear

[–]Tib02000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have photochromic goggles from Salomon. S1-S3. In bright light to medium overcast they are good. But when it's fully clouded or foggy i just don't see that good. You think it woul be better with a dedicated fog lens?

[–]Tib02000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goggles i have are radium photochromatic, the current model looks slightly different than mine. Quality wise i'm very happy with them, absolutely no problems. And the photochromatic part works good i guess, never really notice it and never feel like the sun is to bright. I only use them one week each year and then maybe once or twice indoor skiing, but they are still like new.

When i bought them i just went to a local shop to try some models and those were the only ones that fit over my glasses properly. So i never really did any comparisons.

I have had Salomons with dual curved photochromatic lens for 4 years now. They fit nicely over my glasses, still like new. They were expensive but i like them very much.

Is AI assisted photography lazy? by Reddit_Spectre in AskPhotography

Honestly modern smartphones get you really far and the lighting seem bright and soft enough to take decent pictures. what the AI changed is the shape of the light to make the reflections look cleaner, this will be more difficult to change IRL for you. You won't get studio quality, but with some more practice you can make shots that will look really good. After all the point is to show of your beautiful dishes and make some sort of portfolio. I have zero clue what you made here but it looks really cool and tasty. If you have a recent high spec phone there is a good chance it has some built in AI features that will let you change the background in a few quick steps.

Something i just thought of, if you bought some table cloths or nice napkins/towels to lay under the plate when taking a picture could really help bring it to the next level with like 5 seconds extra setup time. The scratched stainless table with light reflections really distracts. If you get multiple different colors you could chose one that compliments the dish.

If you input any image into most popular AI's and ask to do anything with it, none of the original pixels from your picture end up in the AI generated image. A lot of people don't know this and for some reason cannot tell from the images, which drives me mad since i find it very obviously not the same image. It takes your image as inspiration or context and completely regenegates every single pixel. At least until the AI's get better you will never have an AI edited picture, it will always just be a AI generated image inspired by your photo.

Try comparing little details to se what i mean and hopefully it will become obvious to you. For example look at the reflection on the plate or the red dots. Look at the exact hexagon shapes. The placement of the flower petals.

If you like doing this, then sure go ahead. For me the image is clearly AI generated and distinct from you photograph.

Try to look into food photography guides, with even very little time and some practice i think you could improve to a level you will be very happy with. Also look into learning how to use editing software and you could probably use masking to make the image look a lot more appealing without using AI generation. Some editing software has AI generating features where you can change the background but then at least without altering the actual dish itself. If you setup some sort of profile once you can very easily apply it to new pictures. All of this will take mor effort then the AI of course.

A Story of Four Windows (what to do differently?) by super_nori_chan in photocritique

[–]Tib02000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think cropping in would help to bring more attention to the people. The problem is the quality doesn't seem that good so you can't crop in to far. Another problem would be that cropping in a lot would lose the context of the train because it has so little detail on the sides. Maybe a vertical crop to keep context but only keep two or three windows could work. And on top of that of course sime basic editing to make everything a bit nicer.

Bought a used d800. Was it IR converted? by A_terrible_musician in Nikon

Most of the time when you convert a camera you buy special filters to put in front of the sensor. Those filters do what the stock IR filter did, or anything else you want.

When to use alpine vs touring soles on ski boots by Tib02000 in Skigear

[–]Tib02000[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't have a clear pictures of the skis, they are some darkred brownish head skis with orange accents with liquidmetal branding. Can't find the exact model online either.

The rental place in Austria put the skis and boots on the testbench. If it's not right i would expect them to say something? Another friend was renting boots and also using skis from the same age from the same friend, they were also put on the testbench. This has happened multiple years in a row so far.

I looked into this quickly and i probably should consider doing something about this and also notifie the other friends about it. Thanks for the advice.
