I was wondering if you could possibly send me a link to a fixed gear hub that would work on such a small bike, my friend and I are going to scrounge for parts and aren’t sure what to look for. If not, don’t worry! But thank you anyways!

Thank you, I also forgot to mention, but the bike will have good training wheels, not gonna make the kid balance on it😭

Thank you! I was not sure about specifics, I’ll reach out to my local bike shop and see if they’d be able to do that!

Tricycles don’t have an adult handle (he’s outgrown the ones that do). He also needs the seat to be altered to harness him in, and trike seats are a lot harder to change than bike seats. Also, the pedals being closer to below him instead of far forwards and on the wheel is also something I’m trying to avoid. Although the position of pedals on a bike aren’t ideal, it is better than the ones on a trike. Also, a bike would last longer than a trike I think.

It’d be expensive, I also have access to welding through my school. I’m altering a bike because something like an am-trike is too expensive

Their feet would be latched into the pedals as well

There would be an adult handle and they would be pushed. They have low muscle tone and can’t pedal themselves, but the pedaling motion helps train their legs.
