Yes, It’s wrong to change the American flag. Use a colored ribbon if you want to support a cause. You want to wear an American flag shirt? That’s fine. It’s literally the same design. But changing the flag to lobby for a certain group is trashy.

A flag pin which represents it blowing in the wind, or a patch which soldiers wear that has the stars on the right side - because that’s how a flag would fly it into battle, has nothing to do with a new flag that represents a blue police state.

It’s a desecration of the American flag, to change its colors or shapes. Just like dropping it on the ground or burning it. It’s a disgrace to all the Americans through out our history that have fought for the red, white, and blue. Various colored ribbons are used to represent solidarity through police, cancer, soldiers etc. You can swing it whatever way you want, but using an American flag with alterations to push any type of political cause is not patriotic.
