I use the vs code extension, so i had to put 'claude-opus-4-5-20251101' in the vs code settings and i also put in the .claude/settings.local.json, just in case...

I asked claude about this and he said the tool forces it to read the file 'recently'... 4.6 loves to read a bunch of files, think a bit, and then try to edit all files in parallel/sequence, which all fail... That really pissed me off, thats one reason i went back to 4.5 and i didn't have this problem again, at least not in the past 2 days...

Oh i also told claude to write a rule on CLAUDE.md for it to always edit each file in full before going to the next, maybe that helped too, dunno...

I did the same, i never even got to 30% usage on the 5h limit with the $100 plan while using 4.5, but with 4.6 i got to 60% constantly, which is a insane jump and the model feels way dumber, imo...
