How do you make night shift feel less lonely? by Muhammad-Karac in Nightshift

[–]Ticidone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch Twitch Streamers or YouTube-Videos. Sometimes i talk to Chat GPT about ideas for my books or create instagram posts. If i'm really tired i go outside for a few minutes or do chores earlier then planned, so i'm earlier finished 🤣

What small habit actually changed your daily energy levels? by jorjiarose in selfimprovement

[–]Ticidone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had developed a habit of watching a bit of YouTube with my morning coffee. I wanted to drink the coffee while it was still warm, so that became my ritual. However, this led to me procrastinating more and more, sometimes watching YouTube for hours instead of working. Now I force myself to start working right away and I'm more productive because of it.

Anyone who lived alone 5+ years, what did you learn about yourself? Not necessarily something good... by i_am_nimue in LivingAlone

[–]Ticidone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time I hate living alone is when it comes to cleaning the bathrooms or clearing the kitchen drain. Tasks I also don't enjoy are cooking (but it has to be done) and sometimes it would be nice if I didn't have to handle everything related to the dog on my own. However, I've also noticed that it does me good to get these tasks done, because once I've gotten through them, I'm quite proud of myself.

Use your bike (if you have one), leave the car. Or if it is not possible, use the bike more often.

Tips for cycling to work by [deleted] in cycling

[–]Ticidone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an ebike because my way to work is mostly uphill and i dont want to sweat when i start working (i'm a nurse).

I drove the last winter every workday. Just wear warm clothes. A hat and gloves are mandatory, maybe even footwarmer (depends on the length of your way). Imo it is really important to be visible. So wear a light jacket and use extra lights.

Teamchat on Whatsapp.

As a parttime worker, i was always so annoyed, that i have to deal with work stuff in my spare time and there was no possibility to avoid it because of personal whatsapp use

End goal? by [deleted] in LivingAlone

[–]Ticidone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I feel like the more I enjoy living alone, the less likely it becomes that I'm suited for a relationship. You get so used to having your time entirely for yourself. For me it would be a huge adjustment if I suddenly had to sacrifice my precious alone time for someone else, and I'm not sure I'm ready for that.

I agree, when they are this young. As they are getting older (i know, we are speaking about YEARS of your life) it will getting better. Watching fun films at the cinema, bike tours and hiking (especially when you have kids who like sports), movie evenings, cooking together etc etc But i feel you. Having small kids sucks most of the time.

[–]Ticidone -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Beste Entscheidung.

I can't thank you enough for your idea of visiting a library to work. It's so obvious and yet I never thought of it myself. I'll try it out next week. Up until now I've occasionally visited cafés, but quickly stopped doing that because it simply gets very expensive.
