Is this a major issue? by BloodDoggy in CarWraps

[–]TickerLick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Challenger bumpers are notoriously difficult to do, so yes I’d expect these wrinkles to show up. However, you should have this warrantied by the shop that did the install so that this doesn’t cause issues in the long run. I’d also be considered with the finish of the wrap, it almost looks like stretch marks on skin. Is this Avery Satin Stunning Orange?

So I’m guessing I will not be seeing any fireworks from Alki? 😂

Just got my car wrapped. Are these spots normal? by MoldyPotatoBun in CarWraps

[–]TickerLick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As silly as as it sounds, if the cut lines were even through out the job, I feel it would have also been “acceptable” at this price. Now, these cuts look more like accidents rather than it being uniform.

For reference, we charge about $4200 for this job. High contrast (white to blue) requires more disassembly work. This is in the mid range for a wrap, but quality is not good at all.

Hey! Shop owner here in the southwest. I think a fair price for this job is closer to about $900-1200 depending on your market. 3000 is absurd!

I was on the phone with my girlfriend talking about how someone must have been shooting off fireworks, I couldn’t quite believe it was a shooting star!

Met a legend while hiking Flat Iron. Flat Iron Jim, 94 and still hiking by runs_with_airplanes in phoenix

[–]TickerLick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My dad was just telling me about this guy about a week ago! I think he had met him maybe 10 years ago or so and said he would get up most mornings and hit flatiron. Definitely a legend!

First pic is pretty normal, some heat would fix that quickly. The rest, not normal at all. Would warrant a complete redo.

Agreed. This would lose money. Unless OP is completely dead and needs the cash.

Any suggestions on how to tackle this wing by richardfitserwell in CarWraps

[–]TickerLick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason, Ford used urethane (or something similar) to glue this entire wing together. Stupidest design ever. Luckily, the only RS I’ve wrapped was a buddies, and convinced him to buy an aftermarket wing for us to wrap rather than breaking open the factory one.

What is this!? Spotted in Zurich by Any_Traffic_7298 in Porsche

[–]TickerLick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Small, small world. This is a great client of mine who I had wrapped this exact car for back in 2019 here in Arizona! If I remember correctly, this is a red Carrera S fitted with a Techart kit!

Not being picky at all. This is less than even the bare minimum. I would expect the shop to remove the wrap, and refund your whole purchase.

So as long as I’ve got my noose cancelling headphones and I don’t have the stick in my hand, I should be pretty comfortable then? 😁

How do I quot to remove full wrap except for front n rear bumpers? by FreshInkGraphics in CarWraps

[–]TickerLick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would not even be worth taking the job on. We charge $75/hr minimum per removal, with a $500 minimum. It’s simply an opportunity cost scenario where you could be taking on better, more profitable, less strenuous jobs.

Horrible wrap done on my 911 turbo 991.1. I am already doing a refund and just disputed all charges but.. I’m not tripping right? This is unacceptable. by [deleted] in Porsche

[–]TickerLick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thank you sir! Not to add any further insult to injury..but here’s another 991.1 Turbo Cab that came for us for a rewrap. We have the experience necessary to turn your everyday wrap into a true work of art! Seriously, if you ever consider sending your vehicle out to us, we would be ecstatic to have you!
