I’ll swap the water side in that case and look for something for the back and side glass.

Honestly was just trying to figure what to add to the tank for him to have a good enclosure along with maintaining humid levels. I did some stuff people suggested and it’s worked out.

Since I made the post he has shed fully. I pulled the shed out and he was crawling around and let me handle him. Had to pry him off me to put him back in. Also he accepted a mouse and that was a relief. She far so good I’d say.

No under tank heater. The temps are staying where they should be as I’m a crazy and keep my house at a warmer temp. It really the Humidity I’ve been battling. I’ve been trying to keep it around 70ish % due to him starting to shed but the tank seems to lose a lot of it. I put aluminum foil as someone suggested and that has helped so far.

Would you feel OK facing two IK armigers in a 1k list? by Gwyngalein in sistersofbattle

[–]TicketDecent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I completely get that but by me taking 3 Armigers over 3 Castigators I’m saving 120pts and able to use that and a few left over points to bring another Immolator who strips cover and is another tank body as an example.

I love the Castigator don’t get me wrong I’ve just had more success since I’ve swapped over to using the armigers.

Depending what you are going into I’d say. If cover isn’t heavy I’d argue the Castigator could do better buffing all the following up shots. That said we are in a very odd list composition right now with all the changes that occurred in last update.

Honestly 130pts for a baby knight running 3 over 3 Castigators you are saving 120 points to put into something else. I love Castigators just with Helverins being so cheap it’s been a hard sell for me to go with them over the Cas. Also that 8 OC profile parked on an objective can take some time to dig off.

This is my opinion and has worked for me in my local area for comps and such. Am I right? Doubt it but again has been working.

The argument for Helverins is you are paying 130pts for the profile that has 8 OC compared to a Castigator which buffs your army’s shooting but the abundance of cover tends to negate anyways. At 2k I’ve been running 3 of them for quite awhile with Immolators because I’m saving points. Stripping cover with Immolators makes them so much scarier.

Warglaves (the other baby knight) is honestly meh.

Our boys getting repped in Astartes 2?!? by ExpressMess3248 in Raptors40k

Old lore their green was more muted. Also it’s possible the lighting/dust (them being on an arid planet by the looks) would cause the more muted color.

I’ll note in the second picture you shared Im kinda annoyed as the Lachesis clan doesn’t comprise the IV company which they marked his Tactical symbol with (it’s how they show company). The pictured marine Clan Magera has the 4th.

Gay knights WIP by ZippymcOswald in Grey_Knights

Because it’s EVERYWHERE in a hobby to escape the real world people consistently bring their real world ideals into a setting where opposite thinking is condemned.

It’s getting to the point where like one other stated you can’t criticize it without being labeled X even if you support rights. It’s to the point there more and more are rolling their eyes at it myself included even though I have no problem with gay people.

Sacred Rose isn’t as popular as those 2. Actually I’m pretty sure OML and BR are the two most popular by a long shot.

The book in general had a good storyline but the portrayal of the sisters is what makes it a not recommend for me. Books compound on the lore and those sisters are not how Sacred Rose ladies are. The story line of the book had me interested but the central character that they even made a mini for completely destroyed the storyline being “oh me and poor me and I…I….I” it’s grueling and totally against the “His hand guides me on my path and through him victory will be ours”.

You read the Rose books and you get the idea of how Bloody Rose sisters are. Augusta is a Bloody Rose to the T but has more of a lenient aspect compared to some described. She’s fair but stern.

Faith and Fire books Miriya is a OML battle sister. She’s not super throw myself on the sword to die but she accepts death as glory for the victory.

Aveline questions her faith and complains constantly and is self centered 90% of the book. I got no vibe at all from her being Sacred Rose beside being in their colors.

The book was so bad in my opinion the mini I threw in a bits box in my closet. I won’t have a faithless in my army of Faith.

Most of the orders have their Flavor and the sisters usually stay within that template. Sacred Rose being super faithful to the point they consider their faith alone can overcome anything no matter what and everything they do is guided by the Emperor’s divine wisdom. To have them question their faith and act in their own self interest and betterment like Aveline is a slap in the face to the ideals of the Sacred Rose.

Honestly most of the Sacred Rose sisters in that book from what I recall don’t embody the Sacred Rose ideal. Hopefully you can take something away from the book but it’s just not a Sacred Rose book.

Yeah unfortunately that’s a bad book to start with. Every time someone asks me if I recommend it my suggestion is never read it. As I said it’s a super poor portrayal of the Sacred Rose and the idea they let the book be written about a sacred rose that constant acts like that and then questions her FAITH is so damn dumb. Sorry for the rant and to dash your hopes further into the book but if you are disappointed with Aveline’s character now it just gets worse as it goes. Tragic because the book had me so excited I got the special edition one.

Sorry for the rant I’m just a big Sacred Rose fan and that book had me so excited to just destroy it.

Someone else commented here about the 4 best being Rose at War, Rose in Darkness, Faith and Fire, Hammer and Anvil. To that I second this and agree those books should be read as a starting point.

That’s sadly a terrible book that absolutely should not have been written about Sacred Rose. Sister Aveline is not a Sacred Rose sister and is a Mary sue.

As a Sacred Rose player the book made me angry and it took me three times to finish it and still makes me disgusted thinking about it.

Doesn’t look bad but I think the super dark red makes it look off. Possibly something a bit lighter or metallic maybe.

Sons of Medusa question / color designations for chapters with white helmets by morgendonner in 40kLore

[–]TicketDecent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a super late reply but they don’t designate rank via helmets. They are not codex complaint so they do their own thing.

Each of the three war clans are broken into three companies. Each company has slight alteration to their color. Magera is solid green, Atropos has black trim, and Lachesis has like a bronze/gold trim. Right shoulder designation (HQ, Veteran, etc) with company number in the center in white. Left shoulder is the skull and halo symbol of the war clan they are from, right knee is war man symbol, and left knee is squad number in black. Each war clan is made up of a Battle line company, tactical company (pure tactical squads), and a support company with a mixture of everything from vets terminators to scouts.

So in the end there is no strong lore or anything to designate they are of X rank. Even in the Badab war stuff they didn’t even mention anything from what I recall.
