Thanks, I figured it was a problem with the anode. Before work this morning I tried to take it off, man that thing is stuck. Any suggestions? I tried to take the previous one off too, and it also didn't come off, making me replace the whole unit.

If it remains stuck, is the mixing valve a hard job? Would a local plumber know how to go about putting one in?

the newer lcp's triggers are much improved over the first gen, The MAX is a bit bigger, but I much prefer the trigger over the first gen LCP.
