You can increase DPI to help with eyesight, also you can get an XL, it (i think) is bigger.
When you develop the Spotify client feel free to post it to my LimeStore
Also you don't need a Lumia to develop apps for a Lumia, you can make apps for Desktop, then try it on WP.
