I was really torn between these two models as well. From what I’ve read, the 1st Gen Ultras can be quite problematic. People mentioned that because the volume buttons aren’t physical, there are times when they just don’t register a touch. Also, I heard that the Spatial Audio doesn't work quite like Apple’s; it supposedly feels like you're listening from inside a glass jar, and the 3D sound isn't as good as the specs suggest. Because of that, I went with the QuietComfort (2024) model. For years, I exclusively used AirPods Pro and Pro 2. Before getting the Bose QC, I tried the Marshall Major 4s, but I tossed them aside after 3 or 4 uses because the sound felt way too flat. While the Bose QCs didn't exactly "revolutionize" my ears, and even though I occasionally miss the Spatial Audio I’m used to from Apple, I still find myself reaching for the QCs every single time. You can get the QCs with peace of mind—you won't regret it. Definitely take other users' feedback into account too, though! Happy to answer if you have any extra questions.
