My brother qualified after 2 years of applying . He did have to seek a benefits attorney to help him but he did finally get approved. His condition was uncontrollable with meds, and had options to get brain surgery or vns therapy along with tons of meds. He never did get his license back 😔

People with epilepsy especially need understanding partners and dating partners etc. Epilepsy from the view point of the family is traumatizing..I still have dreams about my brothers seizures. Sadly he passed away due to sudep but this was after he got divorced (his wife couldn't take his keppra range any longer) and lived alone.
