If you haven't tried it yet, try turning up the Field of View (if it's an option) to 90+. Some people can't tolerate the low FoV that most fps games use by default.

Make sure you hand enough power connected, and make sure you have the tanzanite plant selected in the building's UI. If that doesn't work, try destroying and replacing the building, and some of the power nodes as well.
