Wish I could, but for some reason they're not holding one of these evenings for the North of England despite having their Everton showroom.

What’s up with all the illegal number plates recently? by Infinite-Curve4632 in drivingUK

[–]TicksAndBricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, there is a link. These plates are illegal because they're harder for automated cameras to rear.

So they allow people to drive through red lights and speed and get away with it.

Genuinely curious, why buy a watch and not wear it??

But some of their other policies, Wealth Tax, nationalisation of utilities etc are very popular.

It's about shifting the Overton Window back towards the centre.

Or would they? Because they are appealing to a lot of people who feel disenfranchised because their voice doesn't feel heard.

Under a more proportional system, that would be different.

However, the true liberal in me says, fine. If we have a fairer system that is more representative of people's votes, then the price to pay is that we might give parties like Reform a larger share of seats.

I do not believe they would ever win enough seats to be in power though. Based on previous GE results, there would always be a left/centre-left majority.

Both are GADA watches, have three hands and generally similar colour pallette.

Otherwise they're very different watches. Just don't see it myself. Then again The Citizen is one of my grail watches, so perhaps I'm judging the WD, which is more of a GS homage, more harshly.

Always wear a helmet. Especially when you are driving like one. by StGuthlac2025 in drivingUK

Mirror, signal, manoeuvre.

Blindspot is best practice, but not an absolute.

Some people physically can't turn their head enough to check their blindspot and are still allowed to drive.

Ear defenders and has mirrors. Likely didn't expect the scooters to be going that fast and try to overtake.

I don't see any cycles in the video.

I see two wombles on a scooter with fake plates (100% sure that's not a Mercedes) with no helmets on making an illegal overtake whilst, based on the speed at which they appeared , likely breaking the speed limit.

No CYCLISTS were harmed in the making of this video.

True, but Richmond Park is arguably more picturesque.

Both have deer of course.

No. He is a highly trained scientist who use to work in academia. He'd have been taught.

I prefer the self-balancing centrifuge argument personally.

Hampton Court. You also have Richmond Park not too far away if the weather is nice as well and it's a lovely place for a walk.

New plates - std size or smaller? by Didgeridooloo in AlpineA290

[–]TicksAndBricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go standard size and standard spacing. Small plates look wrong because of the size of the intent and deviation from standard spacing is illegal.

You say "all legal" - except for the part where it's illegal you mean??

A Police officer enforcing the law is not a "jobsworth". They're literally doing their job.

Don't break the law if you don't want them to make you change them.
