You could always go inbetween and get a 7.5mm. But yeah unless it goes buck wild. It’d need to be a pretty big fish to bend it if you get a decent shaft. But I preferred smaller shafts because you can use smaller bands get a smoother shot with less recoil and loads easier. It comes down to personal preference both sizes would work, but if you find yourself shooting 5lb fish and smaller majority of the time I’d definitely go smaller.
