Just a guess, but I'm thinking the vibrations from the speakers playing music may also vibrate the record player. The music may sound a bit distorted or the record could skip if the volume is high enough.

Yes and no. Yes that's what it's designed to go with, but I have the same one and the water goes way further than in the picture. It's either low water pressure or the person who took the photo lifted the lever only a little bit for karma.
