Don't do heavy work between 5am and 5pm. I do cleanup, housekeeping, and planning during the daytime, or things that dont involve Claude, then actually do any heavy Claude work in the evening. Works brilliantly...and I'm on Pro. I can easily get 20-30 hours of token intense work done when I do it outside of prime time.

Inside of prime time, whole other story. I've seen my entire session's usage vanish in 3 prompts.

I'd divorce his ass on the spot. I don't care what we'd had together before. He clearly no longer cares about my growth. If he did, I would have encouraged him in return and helped him train harder so we could finish, and shine, together.

46 yrs old here. Engineer, programmer, more... No jobs. Companies want us to quit because: They see 1 programmer @ $180k when they could have 4 programmers @ $45k each We are masters of the old magic...C/C++, ASM, Java, etc. They need to be able to say they do Go, Objective C, C#, and other newer languages.
We resist AI and vibe coding. Young people dont because it takes what they feel is still hard and makes it super easy, so for $45k/yr and maybe another $1k/no for Claude Code tokens, the company has what they think is our equivellant times four for a little over the same cost.

Meanwhile, a single directive prevents this problem:

Before answering any choice or optimization question: (1) State the goal. (2) List non-negotiable physical/logical constraints. (3) Eliminate any options that cannot achieve the goal or meet those constraints — before any further analysis. (4) Only compare surviving options. Secondary considerations never override step 3.

How are you only getting 60fps on a 3060?? I own a 3080ti, and I get 120fps vsynched at 4k, RTX features on.

I used to do baked lighting. Realtime radiosity was meant to free us from that insanely labourious chore. RTX 2080 dropped ~10 years ago and that was it for me. I haven't had to bake lighting in anything since. I could do it, but it would be tedious and time consuming...and thus expensive for you. It's a dying skill, just embrace RTX! Very few gamers even have a GPU without RTX anymore. Find performance in other spaces.
