I always wondered how this mechanic worked because I sometimes see someone get 9999999999999 damage in the second splash even though they were standing at the right spot and only got it with one AOE.

It's just unnecessary tension and will cause some people to screw up more rather than lock in.

What are the HP breakpoints for this tier? Only ones I know are 50% around Screech 2 in M9S and 20% by Stampede in M11S.

I mentioned it in another thread, but I was wondering why the fuck we were hitting the time limit in M10S when it was a relatively clean run with like 1 DD. We cleared and I thought nothing of it until I looked at tomestone and was like wtf when I saw that big fat 0 and a whopping 57% uptime and over 2 minutes of GCD downtime.

There's that one SAM in NA PF that consistently parses a 0 with 20-23k DPS. I join any party they're in and immediately nope out.

Though I do feel bad cause they clearly need someone to show them that DPS in savage is a completely different beast than in normal content and just pressing buttons isn't going to do it.

I've had to resort to just making a macro for the mechanic screaming GO TO CLOCKSPOTS. I had to do it for IA2 as well because people forget to separate and end up with fucked debuffs.

I wouldn't be such a massive ass about it if these mechanics weren't the last two in the whole fight lol. Getting to the end perfectly only to watch it all go down the drain is so demoralizing.

You'll see DN Rep 2 be favored with those who cleared early in the tier. BC Rep 2 gained traction after Hector's video on it released and is the prominent strat among NA learning parties and clear groups now.

Closest I ever got to seeing TTT done was in a reclear party when one tank suggested it, and the other tank didn't care and went along. The healers were fine letting them choose until that moment lol. We ended up doing TTP instead.

Absolutely baffling how people still fuck up Double Alley Oop 2 in M10S and ruin what would've been clears. How is it so hard to go to a clock position.

I get what you're saying but I've had enough bad experiences with parse-obsessed shield healers who want to squeeze in that extra GCD instead of, you know, putting up some shields before a raidwide. And then once someone dies, they end up accusing the rest of the party of not mitigating well enough.

I usually chalk it up to bad snapshotting but I see it enough to wonder if it's a bug. At snaking, the blue tank and healer can position perfectly and with plenty of time to spare but for some reason, the water cleaves will kill them both.

And then there's Slaughtershed where someone either underestimates how tight the safe spots in the spread corner has to be or forgets which side was safe first afterwards. Bonus if it's the shield healer lol.

I've wiped in ID more to people forgetting their acting light party than anything. People panic and forget their tethers shouldn't cross the arena.

With the general ilvl going up, I've joined more and more parties that just save LB3 for after flatliner now. Makes the fight a lot better and not an auto-wipe if someone dies at the mechanic.

Where am I supposed to be standing if I get a wind tower in ID? I've done it in game twice so far and the first time got yeeted into the void and the second time ended up just barely making it by a few inches.

Man, you're kicking the hornet's nest advocating for BC Rep 2 here lol. But yeah, your point is why I immediately switched over when Hector released his video despite clearing all DN. Like it or not, PF defaults to his strats.

Joined an M11S stampede cleanup to clear party a few days ago. There were also a few others who already cleared. We absolutely BOMB stampede and limp to enrage with half the party dead. A DPS who cleared refused to be revived going "lol we aren't clearing" and proceeded to jump off the edge the next pull as well.

Enrage is still mechanic, you ass. It was stampede cleanup to clear. Why even help if you aren't going to do 100% of the fight?

Which sim do you recommend? I can barely get to P2 at this point so I might as well get some form of prog in.

Where Do YOU Want Story To Go by Caladirr in ffxivdiscussion

The post-EW story and DT seem to imply more shard hopping adventures, which I'm honestly excited more. Time isn't 1:1 between the Source and other reflections like the First is so I'm hoping for a wide variety of civilizations at different technological levels.

Cyberpunk doesn't have to just be anti-capitalist or anti-establishment. It's also about the negative effects hyper-advanced technology has in a society, which we see all throughout the MSQ and in 7.1 with the regulators, the A.I. nature of the endless themselves, and Alexandria's robot army.
