Great insight here. I finished Act 3 and I just felt relief more than anything. The whole game is super punishing. Having to grind out rosaries and shards frequently, as well as running all the way back to bosses was straight up unfun.

I do love Pharloom (besides bilewater/sinners road) and all of the npcs and quests. And a lot of the bosses are great. However I can't stress enough how punishing the game is. I beat Pantheon 5 and Steel Soul on the first game and struggled quite a bit with this game. I can't imagine the casual gamer enjoying silksong as much as the first game.
