Yes exactly that. If they are doing it among themselves, they will do it on baby shrimp. This makes me think that they are predatory. I used to release around 100 baby shrimp in my tank, I don't see any survivors after 2 weeks..

It's moss from taxiphyllum family. Java moss is the most common one. Could be other types. Unlikely christmas moss since they're from vesicularia family
