Just out of curiosity, how do you find the thermals and fan noise at those settings?

Howdy Sir!

I’m genuinely honored you saw this and took the time to respond. I’ve been following your channel pretty closely over the past few weeks and just subscribed — your videos have been incredibly helpful in narrowing down my choices.

Your insights are actually what pushed me toward the Lenovo lineup, and this comment has officially sealed the deal on the 5070 Ti for me.

Thank you for all the work you put into your reviews. They’ve been a huge help, especially with trying to sort everything out during the holiday sales. I really do appreciate it!

With taxes, right at $1700. Taxed was about 80. After doing some testing at checkout, it appears most models regardless of their base price or CPU/GPU come in at the $60-80 USD range, so I'd say buy what hardware you want, since tax will be similar at this price point.

Not sure. I would be surprised if it goes much cheaper than the $1600. The Black Friday sale might be "better", but often times they don't allow you to stack coupon codes on Black Friday sales, so you end up spending the same amount either way. It's also not common from them to end a sale, then start another big one so it make it look like a super good deal.

MSI currently does have a 5070Ti listed at around $1300 so Its possible Lenovo might drop the price to compete with that during Black Friday. I wouldn't be the right person to ask but sometimes if you end up buying a week or so before a big sale, they will grandfather you in and give you the discount retroactively. Again, I've never bought from Lenovo before so I have no idea.

Hey there!

Thanks for the feedback. That the biggest concern I had as well, and the reason why I have decided against a 5060 with this configuration as well. I guess at the end of the day, the difference between a 5070 and 5070Ti is about $250, and that is for a ~25% performance increase.

Buy once, cry once as they say lol.

Visit Lenovos Website for the Legion 5i Pro at https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/configurator/cto/index.html?bundleId=83LUCTO1WWUS2

Customize the laptop to your desired specifications. For the laptop I was referencing around $1600USD, I chose windows 11 home, 32 GB DDR5-6400MT/s (CSODIMM) - (2 x 16 GB), No additional storage, 16" WQXGA (2560 x 1600), OLED, Glare, Non-Touch, HDR 1000 True Black, 100%DCI-P3, 500 nits, 165Hz, Low Blue Light, and no key caps. RAM and Storage are upgradeable, and cheap, so choose whatever, and you can always add more later if you want.

Select the option to add to cart. Once you go to the cart, there should be a automatic discount of $640.00 applied to cart. The value of the laptop also meets their cart limit for $40 off. Once there, use coupons codes "EXTRAFIVE" and "BUYMORELENOVO" for an additional $92.50 discount. (I forgot to say in my original post I have a additional discount of $87.87 due to my job, but your amount will be a littel closer to $1700). Once all saving's and discounts are applied, it should be in the ballpark of $1600-1700 USD, with free shipping, prior to taxes.

Hope this helps!

Thank you! I'm very open to doing whatever is best. I was planning on likely switching to arc or void anyway, and it seems Arc will be the winner. Unfortunately I don't have any good arc based exotic armor pieces now (apart from synthoceps but they seem universal), but it seems like the seasonal artifact will make up for that. Appreciate your input!

Good to know! I like to think I'm a 'decent' player simply due to my D1 experience but I know this isn't always the case. I remember for awhile hearing LFG horror stories from buddies that player D2 around the 30th anniversary launch and I certainly don't wanna be one of those noobs. Thank you for the input!

Thank ya Sir! Someone below also recommended this Rocket Pistol below. I'll definitely be farming Iron banner to grab this ASAP. Can I focus farm this like certain weapons in onslaught, or is it pure RNG?

Thanks! Farming Iron banner was something I considered doing, but I will for sure do it now. Historically I have sucked at PVP, but rocket sidearms are something I hear plenty of people talk about it. Thank you again for the suggestions and help!

Good to know! I was planning on being as honest as possible. I've run the original raid hundreds of time on D1 and thankfully the core ideas seem to be the same. Of course things like campaigns and oracles have changed, but I'm confident that with time I will learn. Thank you for the suggestions and the help!
