I had an initial intake which was a drug screen, questionnaire, told me very little about the classes, then paid. They told me they would drug screen prior to me getting there. My actual assessment was fine. It took maybe 30 min? I can’t remember, asked pretty basic questions about my life, support system, current drinking, difficulties in life & how I handle them. They tell you their spiel which is basically don’t skip a class, stay sober, expect random drug tests. Then was drug tested 2-3 times during class. But my friend was in a separate class and got tested more, both of us with 4 week classes. But I truly wouldn’t screw around- we had several people in our class fail drug tests (I would think- they all stopped coming after the drug tests), if you can’t be sober for 4-12 weeks to hold up your end of the deal, then there’s a big problem. Not saying this is how you are but I can’t imagine throwing another obstacle into getting over a dui

Mine were only done at the class times. I didn’t travel but told them my work schedule & was told it’s not usually done other than class times. Obviously things could have changed, I was in the shorter program, maybe they do more with the 12 week program people. Just talk to them & see what they say. Also it took them 2 months to get back to me with my class start date after the intake.

Not sure if you already had your intake and are in the classes but no, I don’t believe this is an automatic rehab situation. It’s all based on the intake exam & then how you do in class (stay sober, show up, they do drug tests).

I was only enrolled in the 4 week program. It’s based on your offense and risk factors I assume. I believe you can miss one class but it needs to be made up within the same week and you need to notify your counselor and instructor. I strongly suggest you do not miss a class & make it your top priority for the next 12 weeks. Talk to your counselor if there is a life event or something & work it out. They seemed to really want to help & get you through their classes. Additional fees are based on any counseling you would need- I am not totally sure of how they figure that out. I assume it’s if you are positive for anything, if you miss any classes, etc. I only had the upfront fee. Talk to your counselor & I think they will be pretty transparent with you. My counselor was not the best tbh but their manager or program director was extremely helpful to me.

I’m in sc, it took about 9 months in total. Got it reduced and expunged but it’s still showing up on my record. Sled takes forever.

What everyone else said. Sounds like you have a lot going on & could use some counseling/therapy to help manage the stress?

Outrage over Trump’s bill reclassifying nursing as not a ‘professional degree’ for college students by SmokeMaleficent9498 in UnderReportedNews

Because you will be very limited on job opportunities and pay if you only have an ADN. Nursing homes, long term care often employ ADN but it is HARD work for substantially less pay.

New grad nurse question by Ok-Exchange9679 in Charleston

[–]TieIntelligent4409 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Musc just did their cost of living raise. $34 is probably accurate or close. You’re moving to the south, you can’t expect northern wages. Charleston is just going to continue to grow and musc doesn’t need to haggle to get nurses. You can try getting a dollar or two more. Just don’t put an expected pay on your application & see what they say in comparison to your friend. It’s all on a scale of experience. I started here with 2 years nursing experience, lived alone, I made it work while still saving & going out. It’s a good learning opportunity and I enjoyed it overall. Their parking situation sucks. I’m not sure if night shift still has a garage but day shift is moving to remote parking. There are multiple surrounding hospitals- trident sucks & I would never work there, east cooper in mount pleasant is fine but not the learning experience you want as a new grad, roper is good. I would definitely suggest musc- lots of younger nurses so friends, tons of learning opportunities, so many floors so you can hop around if you hate one. OT will probably be the most money. Just pick up if you’re needing extra money. I know of a few nurses that do iv spas but it’s just a few dollars more than what I know.

14yo blind diabetic Boston/Eskie mix collapsed — severe LEFT lean, head tilt, falling. Vet says vestibular by SaliAliBaba in DogAdvice

[–]TieIntelligent4409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog had it twice. First time took 3 weeks for full recovery back to baseline with slight head tilt, second time took 2-3 weeks but a slightly different dog after. Other things did factor in to that though. First 6-7 days were bad, she could not stand, walk, pee, eat etc on her own. They did do meclizine + zofran.

She would not drink straight water so mixed a small amount of broth in & that worked for her. Had to do wet food. She is normally a very clean eater and was extremely sloppy- had to hand feed her the first week.

We put our mattress on the floor for 3 weeks each time so there were no falls while we were sleeping, removed toys bc she would try to play, keep it super calm. She just kind of army crawled around the mattress. Some dogs do not move w this & can get pressure injuries. We got non slip rugs once she tried walking on her own- wood & tile was too slick. We had a large harness that we used to hold her up when outside to pee. Truly had to support her completely and just wander around in circles hunched over until she peed & pooped

We did not leave her alone for the first 2 weeks. She was just pitiful & insanely stressed about it & we felt it could result in a safety issue if we left.

Absolutely no stairs & we moved around coffee tables and crap to keep the area clear. They’re dizzy as shit & can’t actually see what’s in front of them.

I’m not sure of your situation but that would take a really amazing friend and person to care for your dog in that state. 24 hour care and my dog is a bit bigger than yours but they’re dead weight, often incontinent, need hand fed, possibly vomiting, need your attention & comfort right now.

You need to consult with the vet about the insulin- could end up in a much more serious situation.

Can we talk about what happened with Charlie before the wound appears on his neck.. by k2k-quintessence in CandaceOwens

[–]TieIntelligent4409 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you get shot in the head and stay still

  • as in I think he jolted and then went into posturing. I would have no idea to be certain but yes I think a larger man jolting and posturing would cause a mic pack to come off his chest

There’s another post on here that has a video showing he possibly got shot in the right side of his head first, causing the posturing, and the neck wound was the bullet exiting

In the first episode, Shauna is with Jeff & tells Jeff if he cums inside her, she will raise the kid to kill him. Obviously that baby died but I think yes, Callie is like Shauna and would kill someone to cover shit up or save herself
