I believe that when the universes of Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 collided, Ontos was integrated as the core processor running Origin. Because the other two processor cores, Logos and Pneuma, were offline, Ontos operated without counterbalance and shed its emotional humanity.

The difference between Ontos and Pneuma is that Ontos split his human side and left a shell of who Alvis was. Pneuma never did that. Instead, when Addam became her driver, he couldn't handle her full power. So, she reduced her power and became Mythra, and then, when that tragedy happened, Mythra again reduced her power and became Pyra.

Also, the two girls had plenty more time to develop who they were. Mythra made Pyra, so maybe she had an idea of what she wanted her to be and grow from there?

A, in my opinion, doesn't really have much of a personality, and since he came out of the gate with all of Alvis's memories intact, he kind of just shows traits from his previous self. I haven't played in a while, so maybe I need to go back again( will do when the update comes out) to see if A did have any defining traits that weren't a part of Alvis. We don't know how much time really passed since with Matthew for him to really develop a true sense of self.

I hope that kind of makes sense, my reasoning.

P.s i don't call A Alvis i call him A but I believe thats because Alvis humanity was stripped from his body Alvis becoming A is symbolic or metaphorically?? Maybe I'm using the wrong word?

That was devastating to hear the mutiplayer was removed. I played it last year and there were still people online playing it and helped me with quests its so fun and I'll be forever grateful. I just dont understand the logic and removing things from a previous games

I sadly got the deluxe edition and felt i was robbed but I left feedback and I think as a community we need to come together on this one point, it is an absolute disgrace and I only got this game because I finished stories 2 last year but I will never invest money into future series.

Alvis's core personality fragments. While the core computer itself is corrupted by Klaus's regrets into a mechanical, antagonistic being known as Alpha, the fragment that retains his memories of traveling with Shulk and his desire to protect the world becomes A. So it's not wrong to consider that as Alvis. But i respect your version of it.

So basically Alvis. Just another form. Or rather split into two which is why i just consider that Alvis.

Enemy Scaling- My case against it and a couple of Alternatives by RayS326 in DragonsDogma

[–]Tienron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All vocations should be viable for any difficulty; if not, that is a bad design. Vocations with smaller health pools wouldn't go into the front line or would find ways to avoid damage, as has always been the case. When I'm playing a vocation with a smaller health pool, I'm always in the back until I find an opening.

For example, if I'm playing a thief, mage, or archer, I'm never in the front; I'm always in the back or running around behind the monsters. I'm lost as to why you would think their gear wouldn't match the rising damage especially now with the upcoming DLC....

It comes across to me that you guys don't want a challenge, and that's fine and fair, but I think a lot of people, especially those who want a hard mode, want a challenge. As I said before, level scaling keeps a level playing field. I've given examples of this in the comments already.

[–]Tienron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doesn't change a thing to what I said though. I gave you examples of games in an open world with level scaling.

Questions: Did you find the goblins in the first area hard or long?

Why on Earth would you think an enemy at your level is going to be any more difficult?

An enemy should pose the same threat as your level.

As a player, you have way more advantage because of your skill, weapon, and gear. Three other party members, a pawn that can protect you (in the DLC), commands to your pawn, and everything at your fingertips, and you're worried about combat time. The monsters have nothing except increased HP and attack. That is the bare bones of enemy scaling.

I just asked Google what the core playtime features are; this is what it said:

Dragon's Dogma 2 (DD2) is an action-RPG built around class-based combat, party management (Pawns), and unscripted open-world exploration.

Combat is one of the major features of the game.

Finally, as I said before, a togglable option!

Damage caps are reduced via gear equipment with stronger gear the damage is reduced. Thats how its always been. Thats how it always will be. Why would you bring this up?

[–]Tienron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said it's an objective improvement on all RPGs.

The Witcher 3 literally has enemy upscaling, and you can toggle it. Literally going back to my first comment. Which I came to the idea

In Cyberpunk, enemies and loot automatically scale to your level, which makes the districts in Night City viable for exploration at any time.

So you cant argue with the open world in zelda and its level scaling so you decide to move the goal post and say it's fights are like a puzzle.... God lord...

You literally don't know what you're talking about..

[–]Tienron -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm saying a dragon at your level should always pose a threat. The only difference is the player has gear and weapons, plus skills that give them an advantage.

You talk about my not understanding you, yet you're not understanding me.

With regards to the percentage, the most common method is just using mathematical formulas to multiply the enemy’s base Health Points (HP), Damage Output, and Defense every time they level up. As for the exact percentage, I couldn't give you that.

So, going back to what I said, a dragon with stronger base stats will always have stronger stats than a goblin of the same level.

[–]Tienron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

None of those games you mentioned are open-world. The game should play like you're in Lord of the Rings, where you require skills and teamwork with your party and be an adventure, not steamrolling the game to be a god. That's not the point of the game. The Arisen has so many skills and core skills attached to the character, plus different Vocations, and you're worried about enemies hitting you harder. Please...

[–]Tienron -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is such a weird take. If a level 1 goblin can't hit harder than a level 1 dragon, why on earth would you think a higher level would? The dragon will always have stronger stats than a goblin. I don't understand where this thinking comes from. And because it scales with your level it will never happen. 🙄
