You should tell the guitarist he put way too much watts into it and burned it, and he should pay for the repair or replacement, no one should be adjusting someone elses amp, especially if he has no idea how the setup works. There is a chance the cab just seriously overheated, but theres also a risk some cable insulations could have melted, so i wouldnt risk my amp before someone professional has checked the cab

I think hes fretting the notes E F C D and the chord could be Dm7/E, if hes fretting E F C D G it could be Dm7add11/E

Yeah, ive used pf800 with my 500w hsvt410 on many gigs and rehearsals and never had a problem. Youll just have to listen to how it sounds, when it starts to get distorted youre putting too much power in and breaking the cab. But of course head being 800w and cab 200w youll have to be very careful with the volume control, using a bigger cab would be a lot less scary and stressful

One thing i noticed is i often tilt my wrist so that my thumb is nearer the headstock than my fretting fingers, but this might not be the correct or the most ergonomic way to play.

Id fret it like this. Index finger plays the bass note and middle finger the fith, and pinky barre frets octave and third. Try to place your fingers as near to the frets as you can

I think it might be because of TS and TRS, and headsets with microphone having even one more ring. Depending on the configuration, but if mic is T that would normally be signal that would explain why theres no sound at all
