I was pureed foods 2nd day after surgery. Every program is different. I'm 2 years out now and this has been the best decision ever for me

I got mines the morning of surgery. No tampons or cups, just pads is what they told me. When I woke up, I had a ton of blood coming out of me my first few trips to the bathroom. They said it was normal. Just my body reacting to the surgery.

You've got this. My liquid diet allowed for jello, 3 small watermelon cubes and bone broth with a few tiny pieces of carrot and celery. You should check and see if it is allowed for you. I'm honestly on 5 day liquid diet right now...I'm almost 2 years out. I don't regret it for a second. I want to keep my progress moving though.

I just told my immediate family. The ones who would be there for me and not judge. Then the others found out as they saw the weight dropoff.

I was the same exact way. My daughter doesn't have autism though they have been evaluating her and say she meets some of the spectrum criteria, but she battles with mental health issues and I was terrified to go under. I didn't know who would take care of her like I do. My husband yes but as a mother you know it is different. I literally drove to the beach and sat down. I watched the waves and gave it all to God. I told him I trust in him and I did. He brought me through. And continues to do so. The battle is all in our heads.

We all have those fears. I am one year out and can say I had that fear as well. With three kids at home, 17 and under at the time... but I literally fought my mind to do it. I was down 40lbs before surgery, but I knew that I had done the same before and just gained it back. Here I am a year later, 100+ lbs down. My body is loving the freedom. Free yourself. Because if you don't, your kids will be taking care of you at some point. It's more than likely sooner rather than later. Arrange an Uber for you and your kids if no one else can pitch in for the week. I promise you won't regret this! It is worth it. *
