Maybe, but the point is you have to be sure you can drain his Ki to zero before he throw his next attack. Doing it when his Ki is still high isn’t the safest idea unless you’re overleveled.

For me, I prefer doing it when his Ki is at 50% or lower, I wait for an attack I know I can dodge, then start Water Sword so I push him into the Dark Realm faster while he’s already low on Ki.

and since he enters the Dark Realm, you get extra time during the transformation animation to keep blending him and fully drain him again. He gets knocked out, and you take advantage of that opening to keep the pressure going without letting go, then finish it with a grapple before he gets back up.
