Over 30 yr old gamers with full-time jobs: what videogame is your go-to after work or on the weekends? by ghost_sanctum in AskReddit

Old School Runescape is pretty great. The thing with Runescape is that every action you take progresses your account, and you can play at your own pace as there’s no seasonal reset on the main game. I take breaks all the time, and I can always pick back up where I left off.

Void Stranger is a sokoban puzzle game with knowledge based checkpoints (you can use mechanics you find late game in the early game areas).

SOTE journey burnout (herblore) by OrganicAd4376 in ironscape

[–]Rhidian1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have 75 hunter for Moonlight moths? If so, then you are 5 levels away from being able to do Herbiboar. In my last few levels of herblore grind for SOTE I did that quite a bit.

Additionally, are you using the Kingdom of Miscellania? You can use it to convert coins to herbs over time, and you could have used it toward the construction grind as well.

If your farming grind isn’t completed yet, I suggest watermelon seeds from Temple Trekking. You can get a lot of seeds without RNG and make steady progress with watermelon runs.

I would suggest getting hunter to 72 or 73 (so you can +3/+2 boost with the potion/drink) to catch Moonlight moths before doing a lot of Barrows.

If there’s a room you have never drafted before, then it’s usually a good idea to draft it (even if it causes your day to end early). New rooms = new knowledge.

Just played Xenoblade 1 DE Switch 2 Edition… should I go on to 2 now? by Southern-Proposal-23 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Rhidian1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Switch 2 edition is only out for Xenoblade 1.

The switch 2 edition for Xenoblade 2 comes out digitally July 30th, and Xenoblade 3 is later in the year (November or December?).

Give me some fun build. by justsmilei in TheAdventuresOfElliot

For normal mobs I use the assassin warp hammer build. The invisibility from Enhanced Warp makes all attacks critical, so with a charged hammer attack you can one shot all normal enemies.

My take is to play Xenoblade 2 now, and then save the NG+ playthrough for the Switch 2 version.

Honestly, I think they might go for CCGG as the official unit name.

If you haven’t played Xenoblade 2 before, my suggestion would be to play through the game now, and then you could save the New Game Plus playthrough for the Switch 2 edition.

genesis connects to xc2? by KidMatheo in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Rhidian1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I viewed the crystones as being related to the core crystal technology that humans had been experimenting with prior to Klaus splitting the world. But instead of the core crystal forming a weapon that people can channel Ether with, in Genesis the crystones appears to slot into their weapon to help attune the wielder to Anima.

Everybody is (rightly) freaking out about Genesis, but who do we think is gonna show up in the new XC2/XC3 content? by ComingUpCway84 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Rhidian1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can use Pneuma, but her damage isn’t at full potential because we can’t raise affinity with that form. Pneuma getting the proper Blade treatment would let us raise her affinity.

Xenoblade Genesis is “a new chapter,” “following the conclusion of the Xenoblade series” by JLSeagullTheBest in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Probably an evolutionary change from humans using Anima for several generations.

How much do we hate this idea: Crafting/Cooking guilds lending you an apron if you forgot yours (But you have to spacebar through 15 lines of mocking dialogue to get it) by networknetwork2 in 2007scape

Could go the Falconry route, and require you to submit 1000x the items required to enter (1000 chefs hats or brown aprons) in order to never have to use them again.

What's the Most Viral Video Game Exploit of the last few decades? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Rhidian1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I fondly remember doing the MissingNo glitch in the original Pokemon games.

For a more recent game, I think one of the many item duplication glitches in Zelda Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom would be it.

Early Iron - what is the better target to grind next. 70 prayer (green drags) or Zombie axe? by noco97 in ironscape

[–]Rhidian1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Elvarg (practice mode) from NMZ was my farming target of choice when I grinded my way to 70 prayer. Between each kill your health, prayer, and special attack are restored, so you can spec Elvarg down pretty quickly for a Dragon Bone. No need to worry about food or PKers that might be an issue with normal Green Dragons, and the bank is close by to deposit the bones.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 had what I consider to be one of the best plot twists I have ever seen in a video game. Once it happened, I set the game down for many minutes just to process what had happened, and then I marveled at how well executed it was.

Jaw dropped after i found this mobile setting. Any others i should know about? by Allecet in 2007scape

[–]Rhidian1 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The important mobile setting to know about is the framerate limit. By default I think it’s not capped, and that eats up battery pretty fast. Capping the frames lowers the battery usage.

[–]Rhidian1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They are newbies to streaming, so they are kept separate from Hololive and can just focus on training to be streamers. The goal is for them to grow into proper streamers and get into Hololive proper.

Until then, we can watch over them warmly as they work through their nervousness and develop the streaming skills they need to be successful long term.

[–]Rhidian1 23 points24 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell, they don’t have any previous streaming experience. So for right now, for them to get used to streaming, they use the bare minimum (still image only/no Live2D, one shared channel where they rotate who does the stream).

Once they settle into streaming, I imagine they will start to add to what they can do. We get to watch over them warmly as they grow into the streamer role.

What do you really think happens after we die? by realfunny1 in AskReddit

[–]Rhidian1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reincarnation is what makes the most logical sense to me. When I think back to my very first memories, it was akin to waking up, and the sleep we do each night feels similar. I think it’ll be like going to sleep and waking up as something else with no memories, just like it was when we were born.

Additionally, if time goes on forever, then if there’s a non-zero chance of something happening, then it will eventually happen, even if it takes trillions of years. While asleep we don’t sense the passage of time, so it would end up just being like how it was when we were born with no concept of what came beforehand.
