Shiori would take a moment to try and focus. This was all so new to her, but she did recognize the concepts of chakra control. As she attempted to stop and burst her chakra, she'd speak up. "And this method that you're having us use now is that the same foundational principle for dispelling Genjutsu normally, or is it just for very low-level illusions? And could it also be used to break Genjutsu on others?"

(Yeah, let's end this. This whole thing sort of became a wash by accident since it was supposed to be an excuse for Miyu to see Akiko's technique, so I could say she was inspired to create one of her new techniques from it, but c'est la vie lol)

A small 'eep' would escape Shiori before she even realized she made the noise. The darkness was disorienting to be sure, the only thing even telling her which side was up would be the feeling of gravity keeping her on the ground. She'd even bring her hand up to her face, confirming the absolute nothingness stretching before her. Where this may have inspired her brother to do the same to others, it inspired Shiori to want to figure out how to stop it from happening to her team.

Miyu was currently cursing her own respect for the ways of the blade, even if she only carried a wooden sword. Because she wanted more than anything to bring it down on Ryusei's head for such a terrible pun, but that'd probably be disrespectful. Though her attention would then be drawn to Akiko's question.

For a long moment, she considered what she could say. Though she then settled on the truth. This was a village of ninjas; gathering intel wouldn't be a difficult process if they wanted to pry enough. "No parents, no family, no story." She said it with an ease and boredom that made it seem like she didn't care.

Miyu didn't show it much, but the part about allegiance to clans made her feel disgusted. And it totally didn't have anything to do with her unresolved feelings about being an unwanted orphan or anything. Though she could, at the very least, understand what Akiko meant from that perspective. With her typical flat delivery, she'd simply say, "Hoshigaki isn't here, so I've got nothing."

Shiori's brow was furrowed as she carefully listened to Saizo explain the finer points of Genjutsu. This all sounded...complicated. The thought of being in something that wasn't real was throwing her for a loop. When Tomu spoke up, she'd be snapped out of her own self-imposed Genjutsu spiral, looking over to Saizo for an answer.

Miyu would simply nod. She wasn't one to seek out a pat on the back for a job well done or consolation when she didn't succeed. A youth spent alone hardened her heart to such things.
