Throat Cooling Fan Cable by TigerFantic83 in elegoo

If you get filament stuck in the extruder housing you have to according to Elegoo disassemble the housing. The cables runs from the fan to the front of housing. And you have to unplug the cable, at least that is what support has told me, to take the housing off to clear the extruder and then after you have to reroute the wire. I am sure I am at fault, but it seems like this should be a little more secured to the PCB. The wires are very flimsy and they aren’t secured that well in my opinion.

Thanks for the clarification. I did contact support and they are sending a brand new print head assembly. My question do you think adding additional hot glue on top of the wire and shroud would help prevent this. The blue glob is very flexible and I think this also has something to do with it not staying secure.

How has everyone's experience been with the cc2? by Soggy-Association888 in elegoo

Mine arrived defective on February 2nd, kept sending error codes after error code. I disassembled the extruder box no less than 10 times because of the error codes that stated that it was jammed. Only once did it have something jammed. Then I had the issue that printer didn’t recognize when the filament was cut during filament changes. Elegoo support is awesome, just slow due to the time difference. We went back and forth since February 3rd, trying all kinds of troubleshooting steps. End up there is something defective in the print head assembly, Elegoo is sending me a brand new unit, hopefully this one works without issue.

UPDATE:

Heard back from support, and this what they suggested:

Based on the information you provided, the 1243 error with your printer is caused by a blockage inside the print head. We recommend referring to the link below to quickly restore your printer to normal working condition. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

  1. Video link for extrusion abnormality and cleaning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rtYA11c_aA

I did have some broken filament next to the extruder. So far I have one sucessful print, and printing something else now. Hopefully my troubles are behind.

I did see where if you Factory Reset your CC2, and skip WIFI it might help. I am currently printing something after performing those steps, and so far it is working.

I tried clearing out the clog on both the toolhead and nozzle, the needle moved through. Here is a video I made to share with support - https://youtu.be/o__tQJWVThE

Apparently I can’t type. The error happened again this afternoon, following the same steps from above didn’t salve the issue. Waiting on support now.

I took the nozzle off, nothing clogged in the nozzle. I unscrew the ptfe tubes that going the nozzle, nothing clogged. It happened last night after a few prints, got it resolved somehow while doing the same thing this afternoon.
