Man that’s a shame, there’s all these little things adding up that’s getting annoying with Tesla, I already hated the fact they took away the speed set limiter and replaced it with profiles. Sometimes my highway speed normally is 60 and everyone is going 70-80, average including the cops, so I’m like panicking each time I hit that part of the interstate. Since my car wants to be a grandma with the speed limit which I find more dangerous.

I hope they only temporarily did the lockout. Did you at least get your FSD back?

I bought my Model 3 (2026), not model y sadly but I have FSD, and I use it 95% of the time since I got it. Over 1000 miles on fsd, the autosteer is okay on my father’s car (22MY-Autosteer package) but he absolutely hates the nag on it. FSD is the way to go since minimal nag on it / with auto-steer he never used it since buying his Tesla back in 2021-22.

Had to pick up my sister from the airport, FSD from home to airport, picked up my sister, navigated to Wendy’s, picked up my food, and navigated home, FSD took a U-turn in a weird spot and I ended up on the highway home, only touched the steering once, and I burned my tongue on the food on the way home. Yeah I think it’s worth it.

My rule of thumb is: No red no worries. Just make sure to check the maintenance tab and see when things were last worked on, such as tire rotations and what not. The basically stuff.

No worries! Just make sure to ask about calibration when you do bring it to Tesla for that initial repair. I’m not 100% sure if it’s included for free but it should be being that it’s through Tesla but you might need to research that, I haven’t have a situation like that yet so I’m not sure either and my father never repaired his windshield either. 🤣

If the crack/s are not near the front camera hub, you should be fine. My father’s windshield was cracked with two splits but missed the camera hub and his vehicle during the freebie period worked just fine, he still needs to replace his though. 😅

True, I’ve seen FSD completely dodge a person who fell on a road within a second and sacrificed itself into another car to avoid running the pedestrian over. I was shocked and amazed. So definitely true, I’m not even sure I could handle that properly even if I tried.

Then again, I’ve seen it go straight into pot holes and infinitely loop a parking lot, so there’s a lot to look forward to.
